Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies 8/9/09 - 8/15/09
I finally saw the Sam Mendes dramedy "Away We Go" starring Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski. The film is thoroughly enjoyable with its highs and its lows sharing equal poignancy. It is the perfect hybrid of a drama and a comedy.
Music throughout the film is spot on, appropriate in each instance for the emotions the filmmakers are trying to convey. Rudolph and Krasinski have a wonderful chemistry as husband and wife and engage in hilarious interactions with the other couples in the movie. Krasinski plays the role of Burt with a dopey charm that's hard not to love.

The producers of new family film The Last Mimzy had to digitally enhance a pair of boxer shorts on actor Rainn Wilson when they realized he was showing too much bottom for a PG-rated movie. Director Bob Shaye failed to spot just how much was revealed in one scene, in which Wilson, the star of The Office, wore just a pajama shirt.
Wilson explains, "Bob was very excited about me doing the scene without any pajama bottoms on for some reason; I think he had a thing about my ass. We shot it and, of course, sure enough they started testing it and family people were like, 'Wait a minute why ...
