| "The Last House on the Left" has no problem earning its R rating. The shock factor is off the charts, but I cannnot recommend this film just because I love my movies with nudity and buckets of blood in it. This remake failed because of its plodding showdowns and head-scratching sequences. The pacing and the fight scenes between the outraged couple and the hoodlums are stuck in the mud. Don't be so quick to get up and leave when you think it is over. The final scene involving John Collingwood (Tony Goldwyn), and Krug(Garrett Dillahunt), is a real doozy. | ||

| I saw the original and was so traumatized I had to leave the theatre in the middle. I could not stop thinking about it for a week or so. Now, they are doing an update? Someone should be flogged or placed before a firing squad and shot. | ||
