'Jurassic Park 4' Production Put On Hold
Production of the upcoming third sequel to Jurassic Park has been put on hold in order to give director Colin Trevorrow, who took over after Steven Spielberg backed out of the project, more time to prepare for the shoot.
Jurassic Park IV was scheduled to start filming later this month and was expected to hit theaters next June, but now it looks as though the film itself will be delayed -- possibly for good.
Todd Smoyer, the film's digital asset manager, posted on his twitter page Tuesday that the project was shelved entirely.
"Hollywood makes and crushes dreams. Goodbye JP4," he wrote.

2010 Summer Movies Are Bad, But Past Years Have Been Worse (Video)
As usual, the lineup for summer movies this year was star-studded and full of sequels. However, most of them have been critically panned and - even worse - they are not racking up ticket sales. Still, there have been far worse summer selections.
In an interesting pattern, it seems every 9 years there is a "stinker" summer movie slate. In 2001, our summer selections looked like this: A Knight's Tale, Pearl Harbor, Scary Movie 2, Planet of the Apes, The Mummy Returns, Swordfish, Dr. Dolittle 2, Rush Hour 2, Tomb Raider, Jurassic Park III, and Captain Corelli's Mandolin. Yikes!

Point/Counterpoint: Should They Make 'Jurassic Park IV?'
"Jurassic Park IV" is currently "in production" with producers and writers working on the script. Many question whether a fourth film is necessary, particularly following what many call a disastrous third installment in the franchise. Two Starpulse writers have strong opinions on whether making a fourth film is really what the public needs or wants:

Neighbor Worries About Michelle Williams
Actor Alessandro Nivola fears for pal and neighbor Michelle Williams when she returns home to Brooklyn, New York, to mourn ex fiance Heath Ledger alone because their street has become a media mecca.
The Jurassic Park III star and his actress wife Emily Mortimer live two doors down from the home Williams once shared with tragic Ledger, and they're still very close to the grieving actress.
He says, "My street has got news vans and paparazzi all over it and she can't get in and out of her house, it's kind of a mess."
Williams is expected to return to New York later this month...
