The Ten Worst Movies Of 2013

12/24/2013 12:00pm EST
What makes a bad film? Factors such as poor ticket sales, bad acting, lousy scripts, and negative reviews. And if you've never even heard of the movie, than you know it's really bad.

Some of these films actually had decent box office results, but that doesn't mean they were good films. It just means a bunch of people got suckered into watching movies they thought would be entertaining but ended up being lousy.

"Getaway" (above) starred Selena Gomez, one of today's hottest young female singers and actresses. But her star power couldn't save the film.

The movie centered on Brent (Ethan Haw...

'Kick-Ass 2' Is No Match For 'Lee Daniels' The Butler' At The Weekend Box Office

8/19/2013 4:31pm EDT
Lee Daniels' The Butler
Lee Daniels' civil rights chronicle The Butler easily topped the weekend box office, blowing away superhero sequel Kick-Ass 2 and Ashton Kutcher's Steve Jobs biopic Jobs. The film pulled in $25 million, nearly twice that of the Kick-Ass sequel, which amassed a dismal $13.5 mil for a fourth-place finish behind last week's debuts We're the Millers and Elysium, which added $17.7 million and $13.6 million to their 10-day totals, respectively.

Disney's Planes rounded out the top five with $13.1 million in its second week of release.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters finished in sixth with $8.3 mi...

Ashton Kutcher Not Taken Seriously In 'Jobs' Movie Role

8/19/2013 1:07pm EDT
Ashton Kutcher is putting his serious face on. No one has tried to give Kutcher a role before. I would equate this to Jim Carrey in The Truman Show. I think it is a nice first baby step in getting people to respect him as an actor, but in no way is this a career defining performance.

Jobs chronicles the life of Steve Jobs (Kutcher) from his start as a college dropout, to being the driving force behind Apple, and likely the reason we have personal computers, and the Ipod. Josh Gad plays Steve Wozniack, the real brains behind the operation. The rest of the supporting cast is largely forgetta...

Ashton Kutcher Hospitalized As He Prepared For 'jOBS' Role

1/27/2013 2:26pm EST
Ashton Kutcher
Ashton Kutcher was hospitalized days before shooting the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic after adopting the businessman's "fruitarian diet" to prepare for the role.

The actor plays the lead in new movie jOBS and he did all he could to accurately portray the late Apple boffin, even changing his eating plan to include just fruits, nuts and seeds.

However, Kutcher was left "doubled over in pain" after sticking to the diet, and sought medical advice in the hospital.

He tells the Associated Press, "(The diet) can lead to some serious issues. I ended up in the hospital two days before we started...

Spotted: Ashton Kutcher As Steve Jobs

Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs
After eight years on "That '70s Show," Ashton Kutcher is pretty good at channeling the era. We spotted the shaggy star getting into character as Steve Jobs on the set of upcoming film "Jobs." The film is being shot in location in Los Altos, California.

Jobs was the the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. until his death in October, 2011. In the 1970s, co-founder Steve Wozniak developed the highly successful personal computer, the Apple II series.

According to a CNBC survey from March 2012, more than half of all U.S. homes own an Apple product, which includes iP...
