Acting couple Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel were once approached to star in a pornographic movie together - but feared fans would brand it a cheap "stunt." The pair married in 1999 and were keen to extend their relationship to a screen partnership. However, despite being tempted by director Gaspar Noe's raunchy offer, Cassel concedes the film was inappropriate.

Vincent Cassel will be the Master of Ceremonies at the Cannes Film Festival. He will launch the 59th edition on May 17, 2006, by welcoming the President of the Jury Wong Kar Wai and his Jury onto the stage of the Palais des Festivals. He will equally host the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, May 28, when the awards are announced.
