Arkin Astounds In ‘The Incredible Burt Wonderstone’
Films like “The Illusionist” and “The Prestige” use magic as a vehicle for suspense and intrigue, but Don Scardino's comedy “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” reminds us that this trade doesn't need to be taken so seriously. In Scardino's movie, a magician's calling isn't to fool you; it's to inspire your childlike sense of awe and spark your imagination. This gooey idea is one that the picture sets up right in its beginning and continues to reinforce throughout.

Review: 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone' Has Little In Its Bag Of Tricks
Comedic, magical powers courtesy of Jim Carrey and Steve Carell is what levitates this dragnet, weak-written piece.
Superstar magicians Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) and Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) have ruled the Vegas Strip for years, pumping in millions with illusions as big as Burt’s ego. But as of late the duo’s greatest deception is their public friendship, while secretly having grown to hate each other. Facing cutthroat competition from hard-core street magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey), their show is starting to look old, weak and completely done! Confronted with challenges eve...

'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone' Unfortunately Isn't All That Incredible
I love magic. When I watch a good magician, I feel the wonderment of a five year old. Too bad I didn't feel that way while watching 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone', directed by Don Scardino and written by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley ('Horrible Bosses').
Unfortunately, the story is one you've seen many times before. Superstar is an egomaniac. He treats everyone like dirt. Then overnight, he loses everything... His best friend/partner, his money, his career and hits rock bottom. It's here that he develops humility and learns what's really important in life.

Steve Carell Personally Asked Jim Carrey To Star In 'Burt Wonderstone'
Jim Carrey signed up to appear in new movie The Incredible Burt Wonderstone after the film's lead Steve Carell personally called him about the role.
The 40 Year Old Virgin star portrays a flamboyant Las Vegas magician in the comedy, and he had Carrey in mind for the part of his onscreen rival Steve Gray, a daring street performer.
Carrey tells ETOnline.com, "Well you know, it was really about my friend Steve Carell calling up and saying, 'You want to jump in and have some fun?' Pressure's off me man. I was just having a blast in this thing. And also just the idea of a character that is ...

'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone' Trailer Is Pure Magic
Comedy, like magic, is an art and a skill that is almost impossible for the average person to quantify or explain. Being able to consistently make people laugh is one of the most difficult tricks of all; it makes sawing a person in half seem like child's play (note to children: Do not try to saw anyone in half).
So what happens when you combine comedy and magic? You get the fantastic first trailer for "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone."
Here's the scoop: Steve Carell stars as Burt Wonderstone, a big time Las Vegas magician who, along with his partner (Steve Buscemi!), has been on top of ...

We spotted Olivia Wilde filming a new Revlon commercial in New York City yesterday. The newly blonde star strutted confidently down the street despite the drizzling rain.
The actress wore a white dress, beige jacket and matching booties. Her wavy blonde hair was light and bouncy, and she wore dramatic dark red lipstick.
Wilde recently confessed to British GQ magazine, "I was very sexually mature at a very young age. I was very comfortable with it and talking about it, and once someone hears a young woman speak candidly about sexuality, it's like, 'Whoa!' You get labeled."

'Community's' Gillian Jacobs Joins Steve Carell In 'Burt Wonderstone'
Everybody loves a good magic trick, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, "Community" star Gillian Jacobs is about to pull off a major bit of sleight of hand: She's going to transform from a sitcom sidekick into a movie star right before our very eyes.
Alakazam!
Okay, so it's true that Jacobs, who can currently be seen on NBC's cult sitcom "Community" as would-be psychologist Britta Perry, has appeared in movies before; besides headlining the indie "Helena From the Wedding," she's also had bit parts in larger films like Cameron Diaz's "The Box."
So she has that going for her, which ...
