In “Ides,” Clooney, who directed and co-wrote the screenplay, stars as a promising presidential candidate whose young, idealistic aid (Ryan Gosling) sees the dark underbelly of what political campaigns are really about. Expect amazing performances from the entire cast which also includes Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Maris Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood.

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Real Steel,' 'The Ides Of March,' & More

October 3rd, 2011 11:00am EDT
Real Steel
If you haven’t had the opportunity to read my Seth Rogen interview from last week for “50/50,” you should definitely check it out.

The film itself is one of the best this year; definitely worth watching. It impressively handles a dark subject like cancer by making light of it with humor. To label “50/50” as a straight comedy though is disrespectful to what a poignant story it is, because it also remains sensitive to immense difficulty of coping with such a serious disease.

In this way, Seth Rogen’s sarcastic jokes are well balanced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s uptight, neurotic character...

Don't get your hopes up - George has been hanging around with Stacy Keibler, who also attended the movie premiere. But Ryan is looking for a baby mamma. The star recently told Britain's The Times newspaper he'd love nothing better than to start a family.

How Ryan Gosling Resurrected The Movie Star

September 14th, 2011 11:00am EDT

Movie critics, driven to understandable cynicism by the onslaught of unnecessary remakes (there is no reason for another "Footloose") and re-imaginings of every superhero from the Green Lantern to a hammer-wielding Norse god, have declared the movie star extinct.  I think the stellar year actor Ryan Gosling, 30, is having is inspiring proof that the existence of the movie star in this entertainment climate is still possible.

For this lover of pop culture, a movie star is more than someone who makes a lot of films and walks a lot of red carpets.  It’s Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman,” “Th...

Video Of Ryan Gosling Breaking Up A Fight In New York City - Was It Faked?

August 23rd, 2011 11:00am EDT
Ryan Gosling
Did Ryan Gosling really break up a fight on a New York City street, as we reported last night? He sure did, although a few websites are claiming the scene was faked. Watch the video below and judge for yourself.

Gosling is easily identified by his tattoos later in the video. This is either an actual fight - over a painting - or one of the most subliminal viral videos ever made. If this video was faked, Ryan Gosling would be immediately indentified (not "the guy from the movie") and we would get one perfect shot of his face at some point.

That's if the ad agency wasn't ingenious. That's ...
