February 14th, 2012 12:30pm EST
Tom Six
When one thinks of famed Director Tom Six, one word comes to mind: elusive.

As the brilliant and twisted creative force behind the whole human centipede phenomenon, Six has tended to mostly let his controversial work speak for itself. But now with the second installment "The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)" hitting both DVD and Blu-ray Feb. 14 from IFC Midnight and MPI Media Group, the man behind the single digestive system appears to be coming out of his shell.

Not only does the new home release feature both a revealing interview and full-length commentary with Six, but from the man...

'Human Centipede 2' Banned Down Under

November 29th, 2011 8:33am EST
The Human Centipede Part 2
The gruesome Human Centipede sequel has been banned in Australia due to its graphic content.

Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence, which was banned in Britain this year before film bosses agreed to re-edit it, was premiered at the Brisbane International Film Festival in early November and was initially given a restrictive adults only R18-plus rating.

However, on Monday, officials at Australia's Classification Board refused to give the horror movie a rating due to its "gratuitous, exploitative or offensive depictions of violence," meaning the film cannot be shown in Australian cinemas.

'Human Centipede' Sequel Ban Lifted In Britain

October 6th, 2011 11:22am EDT
The Human Centipede Part 2
British film officials have lifted the ban on The Human Centipede sequel after the horror movie was edited to make it suitable for U.K. release.

The follow-up to the shockingly graphic film, about a German doctor who kidnaps three tourists and surgically joins them mouth to anus to form a human centipede, was deemed "unacceptable" for viewers due to its sexually violent plotline.

Director Tom Six was furious at the British Board of Film Classification officials' ruling not to allow the film to hit the U.K. market, insisting, "Apparently I made an horrific horror film, but shouldn't a go...

The Human Centipede Part 2 (Full Sequence)
It must be difficult to not only be part of a twisted three-person human centipede, but to also be the last link of a single digestive system creature. Actress Ashlynn Yennie not only experienced that very horror the first time around, but in the upcoming sequel "The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)", she’s facing the creepy congo line once again, but this time as herself. Playing a version of Ashlynn Yennie as an actress from the first film, she now goes toe-to-toe with twisted and demented cinema geek loner Martin (played by eerie looking Laurence Harvey), whose fascination with the or...

The Ides of March

This weekend has an interesting match-up for the box office: George Clooney’s “The Ides of March,” a sure Oscar contender, vs. “Real Steel,” a robot boxing film starring Hugh Jackman. In “Ides,” Clooney, who directed and co-wrote the screenplay, stars as a promising presidential candidate whose young, idealistic aid (Ryan Gosling) sees the dark underbelly of what political campaigns are really about. Expect amazing performances from the entire cast which also includes Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Maris Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood.

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Real Steel,' 'The Ides Of March,' & More

Real Steel
If you haven’t had the opportunity to read my Seth Rogen interview from last week for “50/50,” you should definitely check it out.

The film itself is one of the best this year; definitely worth watching. It impressively handles a dark subject like cancer by making light of it with humor. To label “50/50” as a straight comedy though is disrespectful to what a poignant story it is, because it also remains sensitive to immense difficulty of coping with such a serious disease.

In this way, Seth Rogen’s sarcastic jokes are well balanced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s uptight, neurotic character...
