Home Summary
Director: Matt Zoller Seitz
Genres: Comedy Drama
Rating:

A few dozen would-be artists, writers, and filmmakers spend an evening exchanging ideas (and sometimes phone numbers) at a party in this independent comedy drama. It's Saturday night, and Bobby (E._Jason_Liebrecht), an aspiring playwright, arrives at a brownstone in Brooklyn where a party is being thrown. Bobby doesn't really know anyone at the gathering besides Harper (Minerva_Scelza), his former girlfriend who would prefer not to see him, but he has his eye on Susan (Nicol_Zanzarella), a film editor who is hosting the bash with her roommate, Rose (Erin S. Visslailli). Harper has her eye on Tommy (Stephen T. Neave), a handsome but obnoxious salesman whose desire to talk is in inverse proportion to his ability to say anything interesting. Meanwhile, Bobby's efforts to impress Susan hit a snag with the arrival of Tomasz (Pavel Liska), her intellectual former flame. And as various singles attempt to become couples, one couple -- Josh and Annie (Bradley Spinelli and Jennifer Larkin) -- threatens to self-destruct as an argument from earlier in the evening begins to reignite. Home was the first feature film from writer and director Matt_Zoller_Seitz, best known as a film critic for the New York Press. Mark Deming, Rovi
