Brittany Murphy first came to the attention of film audiences as Tai, one of Alicia Silverstone's airhead friends, in the 1995 comedy Clueless. She has also played a resident at a mental institution (Girl, Interrupted), was cast opposite Eminem in 8 Mile, and was one of the lead voices (Gloria) in Happy Feet.

The star is said to have been taking prescription medication for flu-like symptoms before her death on Sunday, Dec. 20, at age 32. Murphy is said to have gone into full cardiac arrest by the time paramedics arrived at the scene to administer CPR.

Atlantic Records has announced the forthcoming release of P.S. I Love You - Music From The Motion Picture, the original motion picture soundtrack to the Warner Bros. Pictures/Alcon Entertainment romantic comedy/drama. Star slime fest is back! Justin Timberlake hosts this year's Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 20th Anniversary celebration, airing live March 31, from UCLA's Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. Catholic Group Names 'Painted Veil,' 'Happyness' Among Top Films of 2006

The Pursuit of Happyness
The Painted Veil and The Pursuit of Happyness are among the top 10 movies of 2006 according to the U.S. Bishops' Office for Film and Broadcasting. Happy Feet and The Nativity Story are among the top family films of the year.

The annual lists were compiled by Harry Forbes and David DiCerto, who review movies for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Office for Film and Broadcasting. Forbes, director of the office, emphasized the "rich palette of films -- both domestic and foreign" available in 2006.
