The second trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy was released on Monday afternoon following a chat with the cast and crew of the forthcoming Marvel film, and it doesn't disappoint.

Marvel boosted the hype for its forthcoming superhero flick Guardians of the Galaxy during Tuesday night's episode of Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. with a new sneak peek trailer.

The new preview offered a behind-the-scenes look at the new flick, which breaks the traditional superhero mold and takes things to a "new frontier," according to star Vin Diesel, who plays the tree-like humanoid Groot.

"The growth of these characters allows the film to kind of create its own personality and identity," Diesel says in the teaser. "That's always fun, when you're at the frontier of something new."

A 20-second teaser of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy surfaced on the Internet today, in advance of the premiere trailer on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight.

In the short look at the space-based adventure, we get to see Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper in motion for the first time – although those last two appear behind CGI characters.

Zoe Saldana is reportedly in talks to star in superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy.
