Jessica Alba wore skin tight gray pants and a leather jacket on her way to breakfast with her daughter Honor on Saturday. Even during a casual day out, Jess manages to look very put together.

Jessica is also starring in the upcoming film "An Invisible Sign of My Own," an adaptation of author Aimee Bender's popular novel of the same name. The story centers on Mona Gray, a young girl who...

The Really Expendables: Actors Stallone Failed To Get On Board

August 13th, 2010 10:46am EDT
The Expendables
It’s been joked that the Internet acted as casting director for Sylvester Stallone’s muscle and explosion symphony The Expendables. Setting out to create a who’s who of action stars of the past 30 years, Stallone cobbled together a cadre of modern stars like Jet Li and Jason Statham along with a healthy stable of direct-to-video relics like Dolph Lundgren and Eric Roberts to form his retro team of ‘roided up ass-kickers. But when looking at the film’s full cast, and its heavy reliance on muscle-heads from the worlds of MMA, professional wrestling and the NFL, it’s hard to shake the nagging ...

Michelle Rodriguez Is Scorching Hot In Her Ultra Short, See-Through Black Dress

May 19th, 2010 2:45pm EDT
Michelle Rodriguez
Michelle Rodriguez must have had to keep her legs close together when she wore this dress to the 2010 World Music Awards in Monte Carlo yesterday. It's so short, it must have been hard for her to keep the world from seeing what's underneath. In fact, it's also see-through, so the world DID get to see what's underneath!

The "Avatar" actress stars in the upcoming film "Machete," which is based on the spoof trailer featured in Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino's "Grindhouse."

Danny Trejo stars as a knife-wielding vigilante who nearly dies in an assassination conspiracy, only to return lat...

The Ballad Of 'Black Dynamite' And How A Film Got Lost

November 27th, 2009 10:26am EST
Black Dynamite
In October 2009, a modestly budgeted blaxploitation send-up called "Black Dynamite" launched onto screens and stayed there for about a week. After an opening weekend gross of roughly $131,000, averaging out to about $1000 per screen, the film's distributor quickly pulled it from theaters despite it gaining positive buzz in the press. Thankfully, however, the film's quick stint in theaters will be rectified by an expedited February release on DVD, and its internet buzz is growing stronger despite the studio's complete lack of effort in advertising the film. The story behind the making and re...

Is 40 Dangerous Territory For Men In Hollywood?

October 15th, 2008 12:25pm EDT
George Clooney
There's a saying in Hollywood that goes, when a woman turns 40 her career is over, when a man turns 40 it's just beginning. Sex appeal seems to be the driving force in most stars careers and the perception of most men is that they get sexier with age. Thanks to plastic surgery and changing attitudes women have a fighting chance of keeping their share of the sexy spotlight. But what about the men of Hollywood?

In a not-so-popular film called "I'll Do Anything" Nick Nolte plays an out of work actor who's sleeping with a casting director and lands an audition for a show she's working on. ...

The Best & Worst Films By Quentin Tarantino

April 24th, 2008 8:30am EDT
Quentin Tarantino
The serendipitous career of eccentric movie producer, director and writer Quentin Tarantino is a complex one. Tarantino has made a name for himself by creating nonlinear storylines and filming multiple perspectives from different characters in his movies - a technique that strays from the more commonly used straight-time storyline.

His films are not off the wall, but they invoke an element of surprise that comes from the small details within a scene that catches one off guard and by adding mysterious elements that never get explained. A good example of this was in Pulp Fiction when M...

The Veterans: Seasoned redheaded beauties who've paved the way. "Veteran" is in no way a negative term here, it's an accolade. We're paying homage.

I just didn't understand why movie goers were not lined up around the block. As soon as I saw the trailer and saw that it had something to do with a chick with a gun for a leg, Kurt Russell, and that Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez were behind it, I was there. What more could you possibly ask for? In this case, it wasn't just a movie, it was an experie...

Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction

When Quentin Tarantino, alongside Robert Rodriguez, was promoting Grindhouse, he explained that he always finds the beat of his movies by going through an impressive vinyl collection. He writes his scripts with the soundtrack in mind and even uses specific songs in his scripts for specific areas of a film. Maybe this is why his movies always have some pretty groovy tunes. Can you honestly listen to "Stuck in the Middle with You" the same way after Reservoir Dogs?
