Nicolas Cage's Wax Figure Is Creepy Looking

January 30th, 2012 11:00am EST
Nicolas Cage
Let's face it. Nicolas Cage is a little creepy. If it's possible, his wax figure is creepier than he is. The actor unveiled his lookalike at Musee Grevin in Paris on Sunday.

Cage stars in the upcoming film "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance." The sequel to 2007's "Ghost Rider" finds Johnny Blaze (Cage) summoning his infernal alter ego to help rescue a 10 -year-old boy from the Devil incarnate.

The actor also wants a sequel to his 2006 movie flop "The Wicker Man." The film was widely criticized, but that hasn't stopped Cage from considering playing Edward Malus again.

Do you think his...

'Ghost Rider' Creator Loses Legal Dispute

December 30th, 2011 12:29pm EST
Ghost Rider
The writer who created Ghost Rider has lost a legal battle with comic book bosses over the rights to the character.

The fiery, motorcycle-riding superhero first appeared in Marvel Comics in 1972 and was later immortalized on the big screen by Nicolas Cage in the 2007 movie of the same name, with a sequel planned for 2012.

Freelance writer Gary Friedrich, who came up with the character, filed suit against Marvel in the year the film came out, alleging bosses had used the Ghost Rider concept for movies, video games and merchandise without his permission.

However, a judge in New York has...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies -'When in Rome,' 'Edge of Darkness' & More

January 25th, 2010 10:59am EST
Edge of Darkness
I took a break from the movies last week, since nothing in theaters was particularly calling out to me as worthwhile. Instead I saw a release on video I wanted to catch: the new "Family Guy" "Star Wars" parody "Something Something Something Dark Side." I found "Dark Side" to be pretty hilarious, although perhaps not quite as novel as "Blue Harvest." As a lifelong "Star Wars" fan, I've always had an appreciation for shows and movies that deftly lampoon the series.

This last week in January Kristen Bell portrays a workaholic skeptical about love in the romantic comedy "When in Rome," Me...

Eva Mendes On Nicolas Cage: 'I Love His Weirdness'

November 19th, 2009 9:30am EST
Eva Mendes
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans premiered at the AFI Film Festival in Hollywood on November 4th. Nicolas Cage was not present, due to the recent passing of his father, but director Werner Herzog and costar Eva Mendes walked the red carpet to discuss the film.

Since this is the second Bad Lieutenant, after Harvey Keitel's portrayal of another corrupt officer, Herzog agreed that there could also be bad sergeants and bad detectives. "Oh sure, and there should be bad midgets and there should be bad horses and there should be bad presidents of the United States as stars in the movies...

When Good Actors Do Bad Movies

August 7th, 2009 9:20am EDT
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra
Entering theatres with a torrent of bad buzz, "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" has all the makings of a big-time flop - not necessarily a shock given the thin source material.

What is surprising, however, is the appearance of indie stalwart and critically acclaimed actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the role of Cobra Commander. It's not the kind of fare he's normally associated with, but he isn't the first good actor to show up in a bad, bad film.

Why does this happen? There are myriad reasons, but these are the most popular:

Material temptation: It's not easy turning down a $20 million ...

Eva Mendes Hates Comparison To J.Lo

October 9th, 2008 3:45pm EDT
Eva Mendes
Hollywood actress Eva Mendes has lashed out at comparisons to fellow Latina Jennifer Lopez, insisting her career is "more serious".

The We Own The Night beauty has made a name for herself in Hollywood with roles in box office blockbusters like Training Day, Ghost Rider, and Hitch, while Lopez has carved out a career in music, acting and fashion. However Mendes hates being pitted against Lopez when people talk about successful Latinas - because she claims she's more attentive and dedicated to her chosen profession.

She says, "I would like to think I will have a more serious caree...

Is Nicolas Cage Washed Up or Just Making Bad Decisions?

September 5th, 2008 10:40am EDT
The Wicker Man
In 1996 Nicolas Cage stood on stage at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and accepted his first, and currently only, Oscar for his tour de force performance in Mike Figgis' Leaving Las Vegas. This past year, while starring in Neil LaBute's ill-fated remake of the British horror classic The Wicker Man, Cage, donning a grizzly bear costume, punched a woman in the face.

There are two sides to Nicolas Cage-the go-to superstar with the droopy eyes and smug demeanor and Cage the talented, easily forgotten actor. Unfortunately the latter, Academy Award winning Cage persona is a distant memory a...

DC Movies vs Marvel Movies: Which Are Better?

June 12th, 2008 10:00am EDT
Dark Knight
After months of anticipation the two candidates are finally ready to square of against one another. There has quite possibly never been such a sharp contrast the American public has to choose between. One candidate possesses the mind of an intellectual while the other uses gut instincts. One maintains a trim and chiseled physique and the other uses brute strength to get his point across. One is a relative newcomer that was born in the early 1960's while one has a long and storied history having been born in the late 1930's. Are we talking about Barack Obama and John McCain? Well… I suppose ...

December 6th, 2007 11:54am EST
Nicolas Cage
Actor Nicolas Cage is praying movie bosses will green light a sequel to 2007's Ghost Rider - because he wants to turn the comic book superhero into an alcoholic.

Producer Avi Arad announced plans for Ghost Rider II earlier this year, and Cage can't wait to reprise his role as the dark Marvel Comics character Johnny Blaze.

He tells, "I would love to do another Ghost Rider. I'd make him really dark. Way dark. We're done with the whole back story now; he should come back, but this time he should come back drinking.

"Now the demon has taken over. He's not eating jelly ...

She tells British magazine Empire, "I went to the Outback and I met some beautiful Aboriginal women and we went out on a women's day. They said, 'We'll take you and you can share our experience, and you can buy us a beer and some kangaroo tails.'

He fumes, "There was a blurb in Entertainment Weekly that said very

condescendingly, 'We get a kick out of watching Academy Award winners being in movies that they have no business being seen in.' I thought, 'Well, OK, that's really sh...
