50 Cent
Rapper-turned-actor 50 Cent has landed a whopping $200 million in funding for his film company Cheetah Vision.

Rapper and producer Randall Emmett, who launched the venture with 50 Cent last year, negotiated the multi-million dollar sum for a 10-picture deal, backed by George Furla's Hedge Fund Film Partners. The cash injection will enable Cheetah Vision bosses to produce roughly five films a year, with a budget of about $20 million, reports Variety.

And the In Da Club hit-maker, real name Curtis Jackson, has already begun production on his first film as part of the deal - he's set to s...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Transylmania,' 'Everybody's Fine' & More

11/30/2009 10:04am EST
Tomorrow evening I will have the opportunity to see Jason Reitman's new travel comedy "Up in the Air" starring George Clooney. I have read a number of early favorable reviews of the film, and I really like Reitman's movies, so I'm fairly excited.

Comedy seems to prevail as a common theme this week. At the box office there will be two dramas and three comedies. Two of the films premiering are American adaptations of foreign films. In addition to "Up in the Air" films opening this week include "Armored," "Brothers," "Everybody's Fine," "Serious Moonlight," and "Transylmania."

50 Cent
50 Cent's episode of "Behind The Music" showed a slightly softer side to the controversial rapper. Unlike the other episodes that have premiered since the music special's re-launch, 50's episode highlighted more of his achievements than his setbacks.

The episode started off by shedding light on 50 Cent's humble beginnings. 50 (real name Curtis Jackson) briefly spoke about the death of his mother when he was 8 years old. By 12, 50 decided to get into the drug life by selling drugs. While his grandparents thought he was at the after school program, he was out selling crack cocaine.
