Gale Force Review
It's prolific action director Jim Wynorski again, going by his Jay Andrews nom de plume, and this is his best outing yet. The film starts off with a solid car chase-with-bombs sequence, with the foot taken off the accelerator only to move the silly-but-serviceable story along. Every penny of the budget is on the screen -- along with inventive use of explosive stock footage -- including a wonderfully photographed storm sequence and several fiery action scenes. Casting puppy dog Michael Dudikoff against type as the bad guy works great. Fans of low-budget action, natural disaster, and military films will get a bang out of this one, if their expectations are not too terribly high. Buzz McClain, Rovi
