Some of the best movies ever made have surprisingly been based on movie musicals. Thirty-one Tony Award winning Best Musicals have been made into major motion pictures to date. Since “Chicago“ won the Best Picture Oscar in 2003, there's been over 10 Broadway musicals brought to the screen. Lea Michele hopes Barbra Streisand never signs up for a Glee cameo because she would hate to be disappointed by her lifelong hero.

The actress, who plays Rachel Berry on the hit TV musical, grew up worshipping the Funny Girl star and credits Streisand with inspiring her Broadway ambitions.

However, despite idolizing the Grammy winner, Michele insists Streisand should maintain her 'idol' status by staying far away from the Glee set.

Legendary entertainer Barbra Streisand has praised Jennifer Aniston's attempt at impersonating her style in movie classic "Funny Girl" for a new magazine photoshoot, insisting she did a "wonderful job."

The former "Friends" star has long idolized Streisand and jumped at the chance to dress up as the singer/actress for the latest edition of America's Harper's Bazaar.

Aniston bears an uncanny likeness to the Oscar winner in the classy shots and Streisand is impressed by the transformation.

It is hard to know what to expect when coming into Elizabeth: The Golden Age, a delayed sequel of a film that 10 years prior had been a heavy player at the Oscars. Back then, the film centered around the performance of Cate Blanchett, who stunned viewers with her complex portrayal of the loose cannon lover who becomes England’s famous virgin monarch. Blanchett does a superb job, but this film has a hard time finding its center and its pains dull the effort of a strong cast.
