Disney has served up another shock at the box office by taking Eight Below to the top. The Paul Walker-starring adventure narrowly took the top spot this weekend - beating comedy spoof Date Movie - with an opening $19.85 million haul.

* Bruce Willis found a novel way of making sure his new alcoholic cop character walked with a limp throughout his new movie 16 Blocks - by placing a stone in his shoe. The star feared he'd forget his character limped and would appear to walk normally in some scenes. He reveals, "He had been shot in the leg and you've gotta have a limp." He jokes, "That stone can now be purchased on eBay."

Samuel L. Jackson showed his actress wife Latanya Richardson who was boss on the set of their new film together by refusing to read lines with her and boasting about his trailer. The couple's joint scenes in new movie Freedomland mark the first time they have worked together in 10 years. He says, "We hadn't really worked together since Losing Isaiah. That was kind of early on in both or our cinematic careers and things have changed a little bit since then.
