This weekend, Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds will add their names to the long and distinguished list of actors who have tackled the “body swap” movie. Harold Gould
Character actor Harold Gould, best known for playing Rhoda Morgenstern's dad in 'Rhoda' and Rose's boyfriend Miles on 'The Golden Girls,' has died at age 86. Gould died last Saturday of prostate cancer.

Over his career spanning approximately five decades, Gould made a name for himself as everyman types, and later father and grandfatherly roles. Beginning in the early 60s, he made a slew of televison appearances, including in 'The Twilight Zone,' 'Gunsmoke,' and 'The Alfred Hitchcock Hour.' He memorably portrayed Rhoda's father on 'Mary Tyler Moore' and reprised that role in Valerie Harp...

Jamie Lee Curtis, who teamed up with Lohan in 2003 film "Freaky Friday," insists she has nothing but love for the actress, who has spent much of this summer behind bars in prison and at a court-sanctioned rehab after she was convicted of violating probation on a 2007 DUI arrest.

Now free, Lohan is keen to get her stalled career back on track - and Lee Curtis is among her Hollywood supporters.

She tells HollyScoop.com, "She is a brilliant ta...

Jamie Lee Curtis feels "compassion" and "empathy" for her Freaky Friday co-star Lindsay Lohan following her recent release from jail - insisting the young actress was "thrown into the public eye" too young.

Lohan, who shot to fame at the age of 11 with a role in The Parent Trap remake, has been mired in controversy in recent years and her troubles culminated in a two-week jail stint this summer stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest.

17 Again
The much anticipated new movie 17 Again, starring Zac Efron, hit theaters last Friday and achieved the number one spot at the box office over the weekend. But how "new" is the movie? The plot may be something we've seen before, as a 37-year-old who is unhappy with his life goes back to being 17 so he can relive his glory days. Things aren't exactly easy for him, especially since the trends have changed, he has to make all new friends, and he is in high school with his children. Disney Stars: Where Should The Guidance Come From

November 17th, 2008 12:11pm EST
Miley Cyrus
Tweens and teenagers are impressionable flibbertigibbets. They lack the experience, perspective, and good judgment that can really only come with age. Throw money and fame into the mix, and the results can be less than desirable. Young Disney stars find themselves in just such a situation.

These young people, mostly female, have access to anything they could possibly want: expensive clothes, millions of fans, instant friends, decreased parental supervision, other celebrities, and parties. We've seen, though, that this kind of power isn't always a good thing. Similar circumstances led ...

A Salute To 'Supernatural' Fans

April 1st, 2008 12:00pm EDT
Jared Padalecki & contributing writer Danielle Turchiano
A cool, gray weekend in March was warmed by the smiles of hundreds of adoring female fans (and the few token husbands or sons who were dragged along) at the LAX Marriott for the 2008 Creation Entertainment "Salute to Supernatural."

While the festivities kicked off on Friday, March 28, with pre-registration, special vendors' sales, and a concert by fan favorite Jason Manns, things really didn't get rolling until Saturday afternoon when creator Eric Kripke took the stage to answer some questions that both the strike and the general suspenseful nature of the show previously left hanging....

Film Review: Reality Trumps Fantasy In 'Spiderwick Chronicles'

February 12th, 2008 5:29pm EST
The Spiderwick Chronicles
The Spiderwick Chronicles may not be in the same fantasy league as the tales of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and J.K. Rowling. Yet the family flick based on the books of Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black is an all-around class act, even if its world of ogres and goblins is a bit stale in the wake of its more ambitious cousins in the over-the-rainbow genre.

The human characters are the main source of wonder here. Freddie Highmore, Sarah Bolger and Mary-Louise Parker authentically capture the fractured spirit of a family newly cast into single-parent mode, while David Strathairn adds a wistf...

Can Lindsay Lohan Make A Comeback?

November 19th, 2007 2:18pm EST
Lindsay Lohan
Here's what Lindsay Lohan should do. She should leave whatever coffee shop, nightspot, or Melrose Avenue boutique she's currently in, walk down to the Writer's Guild strike, and find Tina Fey. Once there, Miss Lohan needs to get down on her knees. And she needs to beg.

Right now, the only thing that stands in the way of Lohan and newfound success is an absence of Mean Girl-quality roles. She needs something fresh. Something young. Something cheeky. And she needs someone like Tina Fey to write her a screenplay.

Unlike several of her tabloid-frequenting peers, Lohan didn't climb her...
