Daniel Radcliffe suffering spinal troubles over hunchback role
British actor Daniel Radcliffe is undergoing osteopathy treatment after playing a hunchback left him in agony.

The Harry Potter star has been working on a new movie version of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, playing the doctor's hunchback assistant Igor.

Radcliffe, who recently finished a West End run in The Cripple Of Inishmaan, has now revealed bending his back for the role has left him with spinal troubles.

He tells the London Evening Standard, "I went from playing (the cripple) to playing a hunchback and the hunchback is much harder. I'm having lots of osteopathy - lots of bone-cracking...

Former Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay has taken up trapeze lessons in order to prepare for her role in Frankenstein.

The actress will play a circus performer in the new film, opposite fellow Brits Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy, and she wants to make sure she looks the part on camera.

She tells the New York Times, "I'm doing static trapeze, so you climb a rope and do lots of insane things, up very, very high with only one arm or one leg on the bar. When we film it, I'm relying on the fact that there will be a net."

Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay has landed a leading role in the new Frankenstein adaptation opposite Daniel Radcliffe and James Mcavoy.

The actress, who played the late Lady Sybil Crawley in the period drama, has beaten out a host of other leading ladies to land the role of an injured trapeze artist in director Paul McGuigan's retelling of the Mary Shelley horror classic.

Radcliffe will play hunchback Igor in the film, while McAvoy will portray monster-maker Victor Frankenstein.
