Rosamund Pike attended the 31st Annual London Film Critics' Circle Awards wearing a short white dress that showed off her long, lean legs.

The British actress made her U.S. acting debut in 2002's "Die Another Day" as the mysterious Miranda Frost. She has also starred in "Pride & Prejudice," "Fracture," "An Education," and "Surrogates."

She will appear in the upcoming film "Clash of the Titans 2."

The Academy Awards are just one big popularity contest, right? Everyone has an agenda, everything is fixed, its Hollywood's Prom and this year Michael Clayton is just the Prom King.

Fracture star Rosamund Pike might be in need of a superspy of her own - to figure out who's stealing her phones. The actress' handbag, containing her mobile and purse, was stolen at the BAFTA Film Awards in 2007, and she recently became the victim of another phone theft.

The latest incident came after 18 months of bad luck for the actress: "I had a fire in my apartment... and I was burgled the year before, so I've got used to owning things for a little while and then tending to part (with them). I was in London recently and had my phone stolen again."

Anthony Hopkins is returning to his native Wales to throw himself a 70th birthday party on New Year's Eve - and the Oscar winner is inviting childhood friends he hasn't seen in 65 years.

The Fracture star, who now lives in California, is also inviting Welsh celebrities including Catherine Zeta Jones, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and actor Michael Sheen to the lavish bash.

But Hopkins admits he's mostly looking forward to meeting up with his childhood chums.

Spider-Man 3 has taken top spot in the U.K. box office chart for a second week. The third installment of the Spider-Man franchise took $11.2 million over the weekend, adding to the $23.6 million it took on its first weekend. 28 Weeks Later, the sequel to zombie thriller 28 Days Later, made its debut at number two - followed by Bridge To Terabithia in third place.

Road trip movie Wild Hogs stayed at number four after taking $634,000 over the weekend and former chart-topper Mr. Bean's Holiday is at number five, taking its total to $42.8 million.

Spider-Man 3 has topped the U.K. box office, recording one of the highest-grossing opening weekends ever. The third installment of the Spider-Man franchise took $23.6 million this weekend, while family film Bridge To Terabithia was second, with takings of $2 million.

Nicolas Cage's Next was third, taking $800,000, with Wild Hogs dropping to number four grossing $720,000. Thriller Fracture was at number five. Mr. Bean's Holiday spent its sixth week in the top ten at number six, with total takings of $42.2 million in the U.K.

Disturbia is America's number one movie for the third weekend in a row, despite taking a lowly $9.1 million at the box office. Supernatural Disney film The Invisible is a new entry at number two, with takings of $7.6 million, while Nicolas Cage action movie Next premieres at number three with earnings of $7.2 million.

Fracture took $7.1 million, dropping two places to number four, and figure-skating comedy Blades Of Glory, last week's number three movie, is at number five with takings of $5.2 million.

Disturbia has kept Anthony Hopkins off the top of the U.S. box office chart in a terrible week at the cinema. Disturbia made just $13.5 million in its second weekend to score a second week at number one, while Hopkins' new thriller Fracture debuted at number two with just $11.2 million.

Anthony Hopkins And Ryan Gosling fell out on the set of new thriller Fracture because the veteran disapproved of his young co-star's over-analysis. The Notebook star Gosling insisted on having lengthy method acting discussions about tense scenes and Hopkins quickly tired of the idea.
