A young schoolboy realizes that the same girl he struggled to avoid may actually be his one true love in the coming of age romantic comedy "Flipped" from director Rob Reiner.
Adapted from the book by Wendelin Van Draanen, Flipped tells the story of mischievous schoolboy Bryce (Callan McAuliffe) and his neighbor Juli (Madeline Carroll), who's had a crush on her girl-phobic classmate since second grade.
Over the course of six years, Juli pines for Bryce as he does everything in his power to put her off. Later, as the pair enters junior high, Bryce discovers girls and the tide starts to sh...

'Flipped' Has A Lesson For Bratty Kids
The new family film Flipped tells a story of a bygone era. A boy and girl living in the ‘60s discover their first love. The film’s director Rob Reiner likes to go back in time like he did for Stand By Me. However, that was in the ‘80s. Now the gap is 40-some years and his young starlet thinks modern day kids will be in for a shock.
“I think it’ll be cool for them to be able to see how it was back then,” Madeline Carroll said. “Kids are so obnoxious nowadays. I really didn’t realize it until I read this script and then it wasn’t just a script, people actually lived in those days. Wow, they ...

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies - 'The Other Guys,' 'Step Up 3D' & More
I caught two of last week’s films in theaters: “Dinner for Schmucks” and “Charlie St. Cloud.” Both of which I found to be pretty average films.
As a comedy “Dinner for Schmucks” is incredibly twisted in the way that makes you laugh because you don’t know how else to react. It takes Judd Apatow-esque raunchy humor and blends it with “Meet the Parents” style awkward situations. Steve Carell effortlessly causes train wrecks wherever he turns in the effort to help Paul Rudd’s character. While I enjoyed it as a story, it did not make me laugh to the degree I hoped it would. My Grade: C+

Rebecca De Mornay's Face Is Frozen
Rebecca De Mornay demonstrated the classic signs of too much botox at the "Flipped" premiere in Los Angeles on Monday. She looks perpetually surprised without a wrinkle in sight.
She stars in the film about two 8th graders who start to have feelings for each other despite being total opposites. She plays the mother of one of the children.
The actress told UKPA, "It was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had and one of the stories that I've been most proud of being a part of in all the films I've done."
She added, "When I read the script I was so moved, I cried and I thought it was...
