Singer/actress Beyoncé Knowles has hailed her Dreamgirls director Bill Condon as a contender for the 2007 Academy Awards. The star credits Condon for giving her her first "real acting role" after supporting performances in Austin Powers In Goldmember and The Fighting Temptations.

Jamie Foxx constantly teased Beyonce Knowles on the set of Dreamgirls because she's still relatively new to the acting game. Knowles has labeled her role as 1960s soul singer Deena Jones her "first acting job," despite supporting performances in Austin Powers In Goldmember, The Fighting Temptations and The Pink Panther.
