Paul Walker's 'Fast & Furious' Character To Be Written Out Of Se
Paul Walker’s character in the “Fast & Furious” franchise will be retired, not killed off, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Universal Pictures will use remaining footage of Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, to complete his storyline.

Rather than kill off O’Conner, the script will write him out of the film. He will be "retired in a way... (which) will satisfy fans of the franchise and make use of the existing footage of Walker.

"(Movie bosses) devised a plan to tweak the existing script so that Walker would remain a part of the story but could be written out, allowing the franchis...

Behind The Wheel Of History's 'Top Gear'

February 14th, 2012 1:00pm EST
Top Gear
"American Top Gear."

It's a phrase that's struck dread in the hearts of many for years. Fans of the hit BBC series - those of us sitting at home with our Jeremy Clarkson books and 'I Am The Stig' T-shirts, and yes, I am one - have heard rumblings about a US import and almost immediately worried one would go south (see: the American adaptation of Coupling, etc.) Yet after a false start (a busted NBC pilot hosted by Adam Carolla), History Channel made the concept a reality two years ago.

The cynics - and yes, I was one - are ...

Why We're Gearing Up For 'Fast Five'

April 23rd, 2011 2:00pm EDT
Fast Five
In less than a week, the fifth Fast and the Furious flick, simply titled Fast Five, will roll into theaters. I know I'll be seeing it on opening day. Though I rarely catch a movie in the theater anymore, much less on its first day, there's something about this franchise that has me addicted.

Hyper-Masculine Action Films Are Violent, Ridiculous & So Much Fun

April 15th, 2009 12:52pm EDT
Fast & Furious
According to Hollywood and its demographic cinema box office soothsayers, the only people who have the ability to purchase tickets to and actively watch an action film are men and teenage boys. They believe that women, for the most part, cannot watch these films - unless their boyfriends, husbands, male friends, etc. have explicitly gave them entrance to the theater or made the magical DVD player start the film.

Either way, it is assumed that men are the ones with the keys to the magic that is "boom and vroom." Hollywood types with these lofty gendered assumptions are most definite...
