The Dumb And Dumber sequel is back on - Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey are just awaiting a polished script and hope to start shooting with the Farrelly Brothers early next year.

Carrey reportedly dropped out of the project earlier this summer, just two months after the director siblings announced plans to reboot the 1994 comedy about two dim-witted pals, citing frustrations with the project's lack of progress, but Daniels insists his co-star is back on board.

Funnyman Jim Carrey is set to shock his fan base with his next movie role as a family man who gets sent to prison only to fall in love with his cellmate.
