'Twilight's' Peter Facinelli Named 'Worst Movie Vampire'

August 27th, 2010 8:36am EDT
Peter Facinelli
"Twilight" patriarch Peter Facinelli has laughed off a leading critic's dishonor - the actor has landed at the top of Rolling Stone magazine film buff Peter Travers' Worst Movie Vampires list.

Facinelli's Carlisle Cullen in the film franchise 'beat' Eddie Murphy's monstrous performance in "Vampire in Brooklyn" and Gerard Butler's turn in "Dracula 2000" to land at the top of the dis-list.

But he refuses to feel sorry for himself. In a tweet to fans, he writes, "YES! I finally came in Number 1 in something! Thank you Mr. Travers. As Carlisle is a compassionate humanitarian, and anti-vampire...

An Interview With Kerr Smith Of 'My Bloody Valentine 3-D'

January 19th, 2009 2:12pm EST
Kerr Smith
As I sit down with Kerr Smith (Dawson's Creek, E-Ring) to talk about his latest project, a foray into feature film with the genre slasher flick My Bloody Valentine 3-D, I want to tell him that I was shocked and awed by the "not your parents' 3-D" that he is so animatedly plugging and that he brought something special to a normally one-note type of character. Well, at least the latter is true.

Smith is a veteran TV actor who, in his early twenties, moved out to New York to basically give himself "five years to see what [I] could do." He spent about six months in accounting classes bef...

The 22-year-old star is poised to set teenage girls' hearts a-flutter in the adaptation of hit novel Twilight; released in theaters today.

And Pattinson is already movie fans' favorite vampire - before he has even sunk his teeth in a victim on the big screen.

He has topped a Moviefone poll to find the best batty biter.

From Dusk Till Dawn star Salma Hayek topped the female poll, ahead of Kate Beckinsale, wh...

Supernatural Horror: So Bad It's Good

January 31st, 2008 1:43pm EST
Underworld
A recent conversation involving the short-lived, obscure (but highly entertaining) Fox television series "Werewolf" prompted us to take a closer look at some of the failures peppered throughout the history of supernatural horror in television and film. And there are a lot of them.

The genre has always been somewhat popular (especially in literature), and projects continue to appear on screen with some regularity. Unfortunately, the quality of those productions remains quite low. Sure, there are exceptions. Television shows like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" and films lik...

Industrial Band Godhead's "The Shadow Line" Hits Stores August 29

August 23rd, 2006 2:47pm EDT
Godhead
Just as Godhead is emerging as a true international rock attraction, the band roars into its second decade as the first act to release an album on Cement Shoes Records, the new hard rock label distributed by Fontana/Universal which re-establishes the importance of true artist development.

"The Shadow Line", set for release Aug. 29, embraces Godhead's hammering industrial-rock identity with no compromise, resulting in the band’s most melodically potent album since forming in Washington, DC in the mid-‘90s. The newly unrestrained Godhead sound is succinctly exemplified on the anthemic fi...
