Amy Adams is in no rush to shed her baby weight - because she never relied on her "rockin' bod" to land work before she fell pregnant.

Mega Oscar Diary

Sean Penn
Before we get started on the Mega Oscar Diary, let's go to a few random ramblings from the cadre of pre-shows around the dial:

-Philip Seymour Hoffman's hat probably came with a matching set of fingerless gloves.

-Those who were unable to see the Los Angeles CW affiliate's pre-show missed this exchange.

-The CW's Female Host: What is the role you'd love to do next. If you could do anything following 'The Wrestler' what would it be?

-Mickey Rourke: (Slowly eyes her up from head to toe with a knowing smile and walks off.)

2009 Oscar Predictions: Who Should Win & Who Will Win

February 20th, 2009 10:42am EST
Oscars
After months of speculation, it's finally time to man up and throw down with some hardcore Oscar predictions. But before we tell you who will and should win the Oscar on Sunday night, let's address the whole secrecy notion surrounding this year's event.

You may not have heard (which is probably part of the point) but the Academy has decided to surround this year's ceremony in mystery. Mainly, they've refused to reveal who will be presenting Oscars this year and have gone so far as to forbid its presenters from appearing on the red carpet. Why? Because they think fashionistas will b...

Place Your Bets: Who Will Win An Oscar?

February 3rd, 2009 3:32pm EST
Kate Winslet
With the biggest gambling day of the year, Super Bowl Sunday, having just passed, it's time to turn our attention to best gambling day to beat Vegas: Oscar night.

Yes, Oscar night. You can bet on the Oscars on various websites, at various casinos, and probably in many illegal outlets as well (though we discourage this practice). What does each betting spot have in common? They probably have no idea how to handicap the race, giving the savvy better tremendous odds of winning big.

Whether it's Frances McDormand getting 6-1 for "Fargo", Helen Hunt 8-1 for "As Good As It Gets" or M...

Oscar Nomination Reaction: The Snubs, Surprises & Who Shouldn't Have Been Nominated

January 23rd, 2009 9:55am EST
The Dark Knight
There's nothing better than a good surprise on Oscar morning, and this year we had one in almost every category. Before we get to the snubs, the surprises and who shouldn't be nominated, let's take a look at what type of a morning this was:

This was the morning that The Academy once again showed how out-of-touch it is. By not dominating "The Dark Knight", the Oscars continued to show that it doesn't care about nominating movies people actually like. There was absolutely no reason this film shouldn't get nominated: It has a 94% percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it got an A from audi...

Final Oscar Nominee Predictions

Slumdog Millionaire
The time has come, after several months of campaigning and voting, we're finally set for the big day. No, not the inauguration. Please. We're talking about Oscar morning.

Those fifteen minutes at the crack of dawn where overly-caffeinated celebs awkwardly read the names of the top five in each category. Always gripping. Also, this is prime time for predictions. All the returns are in, the precursor season is over, so there's not excuses left. Without delay, here are my final Oscar Predictions.

Okay, one delay. I should note that I hate being right. I hate getting predictio...

12 Upcoming Films To See Before Oscar Night

Revolutionary Road
This year's Oscar race isn't very deep with talent, and at this point there are probably only eight films with a legitimate shot at getting a nod for Best Picture. But those that have a chance at a nomination also have a great chance of winning.

One such film, "The Dark Knight", has already hit screens, but the rest of this group will premiere in the coming weeks as studios scramble to get their prestige pictures on the big screen before the year-end deadline.

Every year, film fans are tormented by the true snobs who catch all these possible nominees before the big awards show att...
