Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Cop Out,' 'The Crazies' & More
Friday I caught Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese's latest collaboration "Shutter Island." I was not blown away by it, but I did not think it was a terrible movie either. Since I have not read the novel on which it is based, I'm at a bit of a disadvantage to comment on whether it was a faithful adaptation; however as a thriller it kept me guessing for most of the film.
It does a good job of planting the seeds of doubt and conspiracy with you, as you start to piece together a series of bizarre dreams DiCaprio's character experiences. The most annoying aspect of the movie I thought ...

Best Movie Lines That Have Stuck In Pop Culture
There are some movies that live forever in the minds of humanity generation after generation. They span decades, continents, and cross racial and gender divides. What creates that certain magic is intangible, but it inevitably involves the memorable quotes that make their way into pop culture and every day speech.
These quotes have a universal quality, whether humorous or tragic, and they take you back to that exact moment in the film when Marlon Brando screams into the air or Humphrey Bogart gently touches Ingrid Bergman's chin. These iconic moments are not only remembered but consta...

Funny Film Cameos
A cameo used to refer to a famous person who made an appearance in a film as him or herself. Now actors play small parts as a character in a film for comic relief. Most cameos are non-credited due to the shortness of the screen time or because they are so famous they don't need a big credit. Some are publicity stunts. Others pay tribute to that actor's work in a similar role, but they are all for the most part hilarious. Following are 10 of film's funniest cameos in no particular order:

A dozen years after the breakthrough debut of Jagged Little Pill, an album which earned four Grammys and spawned a dedicated worldwide fan base, Alanis Morissette remains not only an enduringly popular artist, but one whose success stems from a fierce commitment to authenticity and, to an equal extent, vulnerability. Both of these traits enable her to climb to new ground with her forthcoming album, Flavors of Entanglement, due June 10, 2008 in the United States and June 2, 2008 internationally from Warner Bros. The Biggest Movie Mistakes of 2007
2007 had some good, some bad, and some just downright ugly and unfortunate events in the entertainment business. Here's my rant on the ugly: The Biggest Movie Mistakes of 2007.
"Grindhouse" is split in two for its DVD release
I just didn't understand why movie goers were not lined up around the block. As soon as I saw the trailer and saw that it had something to do with a chick with a gun for a leg, Kurt Russell, and that Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez were behind it, I was there. What more could you possibly ask for? In this case, it wasn't just a movie, it was an experie...

Director Kevin Smith has signed up to star in the US remake of hit British TV show Manchild because he wants to become a better actor. Smith has written, directed and starred in Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma and Jay And Silent Bob Strikes Back - and now wants to turn his attention solely to portraying a cynical divorcee in the Showtime comedy.
He tells MTV, "It should be an interesting exercise that, if the show works as well as the script, will turn into a sweet side gig for me. At the very least, I'll learn a thing or two about acting; at the most, I'll have something to do four months ou...

Director Kevin Smith was left red-faced after a female fan asked him to sign her butt. The filmmaker, whose movies include Dogma and flop Jersey Girl, was attending a special screening of his cult film Clerks, in his hometown of New Jersey when he was asked to put pen to cheek.
During a question-and-answer session with fans an attractive young woman approached Smith and said: “I need you to sign my ass”, explaining it was so she could get it tattooed later.
However, embarrassed Smith declined her unusual request, saying: “I don’t sign body parts ma’am.”

Alanis Morissette Angry About Growing Breasts
Alanis Morissette has admitted she became very "angry" after getting breasts. The Canadian rocker says she was a complete tomboy growing up and was left unhappy after her chest developed when she reached puberty.
She said: "Looking back, it was quite hard, because there's no greater indicator that you can't just hang out with boys for the rest of your life than when you grow breasts. I was angry about it. It all exploded in a mtorrent of femininity as a teenager, for which I apologize."
