Overzealous fan charged with harassing Sophie Monk

A man has been arrested and charged with harassing Australian actress Sophie Monk via social media.

The Date Movie beauty and one-time singer turned to police for help after James McCabe allegedly sent her a series of death threats aimed at her family.

He was tracked down to his home in Tasmania and was taken into custody on 19 December (13).

McCabe, 30, stands accused of bombarding Monk with up to 150 sexually explicit and threatening posts on Twitter.com over the past five years in an attempt to "save" her, but his reported behaviour became too much to bear after the star moved back to...

Date Movie star Sophie Monk was forced to confront an infatuated fan after he bombarded her with terrifying messages online.

The Australian actress, who lives in California, turned to Los Angeles police when a stranger began pestering her on Facebook.com.

Actress Sophie Monk has moved on following a messy split from her plastic surgeon ex-boyfriend - she's reportedly dating Entourage actor Kevin Connolly.

The Date Movie star recently claimed she had caught her former partner, John Diaz, in bed with another woman earlier this year.

However, Monk is back on the dating scene and stepping out with Connolly - who she met while making a cameo appearance on Entourage in 2007, reports Sydney's Daily Telegraph.

The Date Movie star was chatting on Sydney's 2DayFM breakfast show on Thursday when she alleged she had caught her ex-boyfriend, plastic surgeon John Diaz, in bed with another woman earlier this year.

'Eight Below' Paws Its Way to Box Office Success

Disney has served up another shock at the box office by taking Eight Below to the top. The Paul Walker-starring adventure narrowly took the top spot this weekend - beating comedy spoof Date Movie - with an opening $19.85 million haul.

The family movie follows the exploits of a pack of sled dogs left to fend for themselves in freezing temperatures when Walker's character is forced to help an injured colleague.
