New Photo Of Ben Affleck's Aging Caped Crusader From 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice' Debuts At Comic Con

July 25th, 2014 4:34pm EDT
Ben Affleck as Batman
Batman is celebrating his 75th birthday at this year's Comic Con, and to honor the Caped Crusader, Warner Bros. unveiled a new photo of Ben Affleck wearing the hero's famed cowl at the annual pop culture event.

While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is still nearly two years away, it's a good bet that DC Comics will be using the occasion to steal a little thunder from rival Marvel Comics, which will be trotting out several superhero films between now and then, beginning with this summer's Guardians of the Galaxy, which opens August 1 and will be the studio's main focus at Comic Con.

11 Great Movies With Truly Terrible Plot Twists
In most cases, the quality of a plot twist usually determines the quality of a movie. Bruce Willis was a ghost the whole time in The Sixth Sense. Great twist, great movie. Robert Pattinson was actually a 9/11 victim the whole time in Remember Me. Awful twist, borderline offensive movie.

But sometimes things don't add up. Sometimes, in going for that perfect little story zigzag, a film will overshoot (undershooting is also an issue) and leave us with a big twist that either makes no sense, or makes plenty of sense and is just monstrously stupid.

So prepare yourself, as we travel through a ...

Examining Realism In Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy

Batman Begins
One could argue Batman Begins ushered in an era of darker, more realistic super hero films. Gone were the garish colors, cheesy one-liners, and "nippled" armor. But how realistic was Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy? In honor of the 6 disc Blu-ray Ultimate Collector's Edition, out this week, we take a look.

The Gadgets and Equipment:

A preface: Projects for the military can be expensive (it can cost billions of dollars to design and prototype vehicles) so consider money no object for Wayne Enterprises. Just because something doesn't exist yet doesn't mean it's not plausible, if you...

Ben Affleck
Friday morning the internet blew up after it was revealed that Ben Affleck was cast in the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman for the 2015 sequel to this summer's blockbuster Superman film, Man of Steel.

Affleck will portray a more aged and wiser Dark Knight opposite Henry Cavill's Superman, and the casting move has been met with lots of backlash.

Producers had to find someone new for the role after Christian Bale revealed he wouldn't portray the character again after last year's The Dark Knight Rises, even reportedly turning down a $50 million offer to put on the Batsuit one more time for a plan...
