February 24th, 2012 5:17pm EST
Kevin Costner
Kevin Costner's legal battle with an artist he commissioned to create sculptures of charging bison is heading back to court in South Dakota.

The Dances With Wolves star hired Peggy Detmers to make 17 bronze figures of Native Americans hunting the beasts in the early 1990s so he could display them at a planned five-star hotel.

The resort never came to fruition and in 2006, Costner decided to donate the Lakota Bison Jump collection to his Tatanka museum near the town of Deadwood.

However, Detmers was not happy with the placement change and she sued for breach of contract in 2009.

She ...

Kevin Costner
Kevin Costner has asked a federal judge to dismiss a multi-million dollar lawsuit accusing him of duping Stephen Baldwin into giving up his shares in a pioneering oil-cleaning technology.

Baldwin sued the Dances With Wolves star in December, claiming he should have benefited from Costner's success after he introduced an oil-filtration device to help clean up the Gulf of Mexico oil spill last year.

BP bosses reportedly invested more than $50 million in the gadget, pioneered by Costner and his inventor brother. Baldwin is demanding more than $4 million from the actor, but Costner has fil...

December 23rd, 2010 11:36am EST
Stephen Baldwin
Stephen Baldwin is suing Kevin Costner for allegedly duping him into selling his shares in a pioneering oil separating process.

The Dances With Wolves star and his inventor brother were among the saviors of the BP oil spill disaster earlier this year, thanks to their oil-filtration system. The Costners sold 32 devices to BP bosses through their company Costner Industries Nevada Corporation.

The systems helped the oil experts minimize the damage caused by the massive slick, which started drifting ashore on the Gulf Coast after a rig ruptured in April. But, now the actor faces legal actio...

He tells China Daily, "Eighty per cent of the plot and the key elements of 'Avatar' are similar to my 1997 science fiction novel 'Tale Of The Blue Crows.'"

Shaomou has failed so far in his attempts to file a lawsuit in Chin...

January 11th, 2008 5:05pm EST
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards is Scotland's senior regiment and her only regular cavalry. The band members, as well as being trained musicians, are all Army soldiers who crew tanks.

The album, both Scots and classical tunes, is a tribute to the dedication and talent of this group of military pipers. While they are first and foremost soldiers, the music on Spirit of the Glen is a heart-warming and beautiful demonstration of the incredibly powerful and emotive sound of bagpipe music.

Some album highlights: the McCartney popularized #1 single: 'Mull of Kintire,' 'Amazing Grace 2...
