Q&A: Meet Ana de la Reguera

12/30/2011 11:45am EST
Ana de la Reguera
"You have to be very humble to start over," says Latin actress Ana de la Reguera when we connect very early on a Monday morning.

That's something she knows firsthand. She's just now arriving home after working through the night. It's not the kind of work schedule you'd expect for an actress who's considered "one of the most influential Latinas in the United States" according to Univision and who's been feted by - or on the cover of - various international publications like Glamour Mexico, Vogue Latinoamerica, and People en Espanol.

While all the accolades in Latin America are appreciate...

January Jones & Gwyneth Paltrow Named The 'Least Influential People Of 2011'

12/2/2011 8:30am EST
Gwyneth Paltrow
Actresses January Jones and Gwyneth Paltrow have been spoofed as two of the Least Influential People of 2011.

Editors at GQ magazine have followed up Barbara Walters' annual list of "The 10 Most Fascinating People" of the year by creating their own compilation of celebrities who've failed to contribute something of "value" to the world, and both blonde beauties were nominated for the shameful honor.

Jones was one of 25 selected because the latest season of her hit TV show "Mad Men" was delayed from airing until 2012 and Paltrow was named for "unleashing her awful cookbook on the world."

Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart halloween
We spotted Harrison Ford and his wife Calista Flockhart dressed up like an 80's hair band couple for Halloween in Brentwood, Calif., yesterday. We love seeing the normally conservative couple let loose!

Harrison was recently named one of the sexiest actors in science fiction for his portrayal of Han Solo in "Star Wars." He recently appeared in the sci-fi film "Cowboys & Aliens."

Calista recently starred in the ABC series "Brothers & Sisters," which was cancelled last spring after five seasons.

Fashion Fails: Olivia Wilde, Amy Smart, And Ginnifer Goodwin

8/13/2011 12:00pm EDT
Olivia Wilde
What is that supposed to be, anyway, Olivia Wilde? This retro-esque, see-through, polka-dotted... thing is the front-runner for our Fashion Fails of the week! Olivia wore the outfit to the UK premiere of Cowboys & Aliens - we dig everything above the neck, like the lipstick and the hairband. But everything else is no!

Amy Smart looks more like our mom than a Hollywood star in this flower print, see-though gown. To make things worth, the earthy feel of her outfit does not go with the metallic heels and purse.

Ginnfer Goodwin looks like she is filling in for Dolly Parton or a series o...

Ana De La Reguera Smitten With Daniel Craig On 'Cowboys & Aliens' Set

8/8/2011 8:59pm EDT
Ana de la Reguera
Mexican star Ana de la Reguera struggled to film scenes opposite Daniel Craig on the set of action film Cowboys & Aliens because she had a huge crush on the Brit.

The sexy Nacho Libre star, who plays Sam Rockwell's wife in the sci-fi western, admits she was smitten with Craig the minute she met him - and she spent much of the movie trying to avoid eye contact.

She tells Angeleno magazine, "He was my one and only crush. I couldn't even look at him on the set. The first time I saw him, I said, 'Oh my god, I'm in love with you!'"

But the actress just missed out on spending quality time with...

Olivia Wilde Raced Harrison Ford's Helicopter To Set

8/4/2011 9:30pm EDT
Olivia Wilde
Actress Olivia Wilde raced Cowboys & Aliens co-star Harrison Ford to the set of the movie in New Mexico - to see if she could get there in her car before he arrived in his helicopter.

Ford has a clause in his contract that allows him to pilot in to movie sets in his chopper - and Wilde loved the challenge of trying to get to work before the veteran action man.

She says, "I'd be in my car and I'd see him and be like, 'Come on, I can do it!' You'd see him coming across the skyline. He usually won."

Ford may have been great in the air, but Wilde insists he's not the greatest driver on the...

'Cowboys & Aliens' Beats 'Smurfs' In Box Office Recount

8/2/2011 9:30pm EDT
Cowboys & Aliens
The Smurfs have been left a little blue after learning their hit family film didn't quite have the pulling power at the U.S. box office to share the top spot at the weekend.

Initial estimates suggested the film had tied for the number one slot with action blockbuster Cowboys & Aliens - but official figures have the little blue men in second place.

Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig's film have edged ahead, claiming $1 million more than The Smurfs at the U.S. box office.

Cowboys & Aliens romped to the top of the charts with a $36.4 million opening weekend take.

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes,' 'The Change-Up,' & More

8/1/2011 9:39am EDT
Planet of the Apes
I was anxiously anticipating last week’s “Cowboys & Aliens,” hoping that it would effectively mix action and humor in the same way as director Jon Favreau’s “Iron Man” films. Favreau takes a more serious approach though, creating a stiff western that happens to include science fiction elements. While his idea is admirable, the movie is marred by poorly written dialogue and slow pacing. For more of my thoughts, check out my review.

Coming to theaters this week are the sci-fi prequel “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” the body swapping comedy “The Change-Up,” the international drama “The ...

'Cowboys & Aliens' & 'Smurfs' Tie At Weekend Box Office

The Smurfs
"Cowboys & Aliens" and family fun movie "The Smurfs" have tied for the box office top spot - both films opened at the weekend with $36.2 million.

"Captain America: The First Avenger" didn't have enough power to hold onto last week's number one - it fell to third place with $24.9 million.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" raked in $21.9 million to land fourth place, and Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell's new romantic comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love," rounded out the top five after premiering with $19.3 million.

'Cowboys & Aliens': A Stiff Western Laced With Sci-Fi

7/31/2011 2:00pm EDT
Cowboys 2
Based on its name, “Cowboys & Aliens” sounds like a playful, genre-mashing romp, similar to something imagined by Tarantino or Rodriguez. “Iron Man” director Jon Favreau tries to prove though, that he can overcome these expectations, by telling a serious tale about cowboys fighting aliens. The fruit of Favreau's labors is a film which plays like a stiff western laced with science fiction.

It starts out promising: the camera pans across a desert landscape, where it is interrupted by a confused man (Daniel Craig) jolting awake. He has amnesia, but he's more alarmed by his open wound and t...

Han Solo and Chewbacca
Harrison Ford was busy setting up a deal for "Air Force One... 2" before his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live when an old enemy arrived. Of course, the last we saw Ford and Chewbacca they were still on speaking terms. Watch below:

"Daniel Craig's my Wookie bitch now!" Of course, Craig is Harrison's co-star in Cowboys & Aliens - funny, he didn't look all that hairy in the trailers.

Review: 'Cowboys & Aliens' Is A Fun Romp That Lacks Heart

7/27/2011 9:00am EDT
Cowboys & Aliens
It seemed a great recipe for success: my favorite actor (Daniel Craig), one of film's iconic names (Harrison Ford), and one of my favorite directors (Jon Favreau). And it almost was. While Cowboys & Aliens is worth the price of admission, it's lacking in places that keep it from being the truly awesome film it could have been.

The biggest plus that the flick has going for it is that it defies all the usual claptrap of a summer blockbuster. Its action sequences are definitely big and loud, but not to the point of incoherence; with the exception of the final confrontation, it's relatively ...

Olivia Wilde Wants More Female Leads In Sci-Fi Films

7/25/2011 9:47pm EDT
Olivia Wilde
Actress Olivia Wilde is calling on Hollywood producers to take more "risks" and build sci-fi roles around strong female characters because she's tired of playing the "helpful sidekick."

The movie beauty starred alongside Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund in last year's Tron Legacy and she appears in new futuristic western Cowboys & Aliens with Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford.

Wilde is eager to continue building on her sci-fi credentials, but she hopes she will one day get the chance to follow in Alien star Sigourney Weaver's footsteps and lead the cast in an all-action role.

She tells WENN...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Cowboys & Aliens,' 'Crazy, Stupid, Love,' & More

7/25/2011 11:00am EDT
Cowboys & Aliens
“Captain America: The First Avenger” surprised me last week, by outdoing other summer superhero films like “Thor” and “Green Lantern.” Director Joe Johnston delivers a good old fashioned fun time injecting action, humor, and just the right amount of camp into the film. For more of my thoughts, check out my review.

This week you’ll have the chance to catch the sci-fi action epic “Cowboys & Aliens,” the romantic dramedy “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” the silly comedy “The Smurfs,” the British alien invasion flick “Attack the Block,” the independent drama “The Future,” the biopic “The Devil’s...

Olivia Wilde Almost Died On 'Cowboys & Aliens' Set

7/25/2011 9:07am EDT
Cowboys & Aliens
Olivia Wilde owes her life to her "Cowboys & Aliens" co-star Walton Goggins after he saved her from getting trampled to death in a horse stampede scene.

The star appears alongside Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford in Jon Favreau's new sci-fi Western and she hit the red carpet for the movie's big premiere at Comic-Con in San Diego, California on Saturday.

But Wilde admits she is lucky to be alive - and it's only thanks to Goggins' quick-thinking that she escaped one harrowing shoot unharmed.

Speaking at the big screening, she tells E! News, "We were riding 40 horses deep, galloping into batt...

The premiere was held at the San Diego Civic Theatre in San Diego, CA, as a part of this year's Comic Con convention - making it the perfect setting for a sci-fi movie to have its official opening.

Olivia Wilde Had No Idea Her Naked Butt Would Appear In 'The Change-Up'

7/19/2011 10:52am EDT
Olivia Wilde
Olivia Wilde talked about appearing naked in new films "Cowboys & Aliens" and "The Change-Up."

She explained, "There's a little nudity in this one... I feel like if I feel really safe and if I feel like the story calls for it then I'm not so shy.

"And, as for 'The Change-Up,' I didn't really realize that's what was happening...People saw the movie and they're like, 'You know your butt's in the movie?' and I was like, 'What?' I had no idea!"

In "The Change-Up" a married father and a swinging single swap bodies after a wild night of drinking, and do their best not to throw each oth...

'Harry Potter,' 'Super 8' & This Summer's Five Other Must-See Movies

6/9/2011 11:00am EDT
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
The perfect recipe for a summer must-see film boils down to this: it either has to be full of adrenaline pumping action that usually involves some supernatural powers, or it has to be outrageously funny and maybe even a little cringe-worthy, or it’s a romantic comedy, which, hey, is always in season.

This summer has already been kicked off to a start with a string of blockbuster hits. You’ve got your superhero action films, “Thor,” “X-Men,” and “Pirates of the Caribbean,” you’ve got a heaping dose of the funnies, with the record-breaking “The Hangover Part II” and its female equivalent, ...

Daniel Craig Got Butt Scabs While Filming 'Cowboys & Aliens'

4/29/2011 9:35am EDT
Daniel Craig
Daniel Craig was in agony riding horses for upcoming blockbuster "Cowboys And Aliens."

He explained, "You get over the saddle soreness, thankfully. I mean, after a week the scabs heal over. You think I'm joking? Why do you think cowboys walk so funny?"

Based on the graphic novel by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, "Cowboys & Aliens" starts in 1800s Arizona, where the local cowboys, headed by gunslinger Zeke Jackson (Craig), and the indigenous Apache tribe have been feuding fiercely for quite a while. Their skirmish is interrupted, however, by the appearance of a spaceship, commanded by an alien...

Harrison Ford Trying To Buy 'Cowboys & Aliens' Horse

4/26/2011 2:38pm EDT
Harrison Ford
Harrison Ford became so attached to the horse he rides in new movie Cowboys & Aliens, he is "trying to buy" his trusty steed.

The Indiana Jones star plays a cowboy in Jon Favreau's sci-fi western blockbuster and spent a lot of time riding during the shoot.

Ford admits he was determined to enjoy his stint in the saddle so he "auditioned" the horses himself. And he has become so enamored with one of them, he wants to keep it permanently.

He tells the Los Angeles Times, "I came sort of 'horse ready'. I auditioned a couple of horses, three or four, before I ever came out. I found one hors...

New 'Cowboys & Aliens' Trailer Debuts; Looks Awesome (Watch It!)

4/15/2011 8:00pm EDT
Cowboys and Aliens
Gunslinger Zeke Jackson (Daniel Craig) can't remember his name, why the mysterious device on his arm was put there, and who (or what) put it there. So begins the first official trailer for this summer's blockbuster Cowboys & Aliens, which debuted during Thursday night's episode of American Idol.

The film, based on Scott Mitchell Rosenberg's graphic novel of the same name, takes place in 1800s Arizona, where a conflict between local cowboys and the Apache Indian tribe gets interrupted by alien visitors bent on enslaving humans. How in the world are 19th century humans supposed to compete wi...

The 26-year-old star discusses her character Quorra's skin-tight outfits in the "Tron" sequel; and how, despite finding success in dramas such as hit Fox show "House" and suspense thriller "The Next Three Days," she's really a big fan of comedy.

Check Out Daniel Craig & Harrison Ford In The 'Cowboys & Aliens' Trailer

Cowboys and Aliens
Based on the graphic novel by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, Cowboys & Aliens starts in 1800s Arizona, where the local cowboys, headed by gunslinger Zeke Jackson (Daniel Craig), and the indigenous Apache tribe have been feuding fiercely for quite a while.

Their skirmish is interrupted, however, by the appearance of a spaceship, commanded by an alien creature that's bent on enslaving the human race. It's time for a six-gun shoot-out between these cattle rustlers and space invaders, and there might even be a temporary peace between the cowboys and Indians as they both take aim at these extraterr...
