Will Young keen to star in comedy TV show

British singer Will Young is keen to take his acting talents to the small screen and sign up for a comedy TV show.

The Leave Right Now hitmaker previously starred in 2005 movie Mrs Henderson Presents opposite Bob Hoskins and Dame Judi Dench and now hopes to show off his comedy chops in front of the camera.

Speaking on U.K. chat show This Morning he revealed his ambitions, saying, "I want to do a comedy TV show drama and I really want to do a detective series. Maybe a period detective."

I felt incredibly silly last week when I was supposed to see Mark Wahlberg’s “Contraband.”  I showed up at the wrong theater, and ended up missing my screening.  From what I’ve heard from my colleagues though, I didn’t miss anything fantastic.  One of them compared it in quality to last year’s remake “The Mechanic,” better than expected, but nothing special.

Ralph Fiennes called on his dialect coach to help him with his directorial debut because he knew she'd be honest about his performance in his film "Coriolanus."

The star admits he was wracked with "continual anxiety" when filming started on the movie adaptation of the Shakespeare tragedy because he couldn't be sure he was giving the best performance in front of the camera as he attempted to direct himself.
