Everything Geeky: A Beginner's Guide To Comics

October 14th, 2009 1:21pm EDT
The Sandman
As a comic fan, I'm often asked by non-comic geeks what series they should try out to get started in the vast world of comic awesomeness. This is a pretty general question, since it all depends on your personal taste.

June 17th, 2009 11:36am EDT
Superman Returns
The film industry has a long history with trying different avenues to bring more viewers in and keep them in their theater seats. In the 1930s, studios brought back what we remember as "Smell-o-vision," which first began around the late 1910s. 3-D technology was another attempt at creating a higher level of spectacle for cinema audiences. There are different ways to create three dimensional images - different cameras...

June 3rd, 2009 9:00am EDT
Wall-E
One can only assume the somewhat recent onslaught of the "need" for Blu-ray comes only from a desire to have people buy films and television show sets over again. Yes, the technology is interesting at best, but it is brutally frustrating at worst.

The problem is not with the players, although they are extremely expensive still and the best player is still the one that comes in the PlayStation 3, the problem instead lies way back in the beginning of the cycle - the ...
