New mother Hilary Duff has played down reports she is stepping up her exercise regime in a desperate bid to regain her pre-pregnancy figure, insisting she is not "freaked out" about slimming down.

The singer/actress gave birth to her first child, a son named Luca, last month, but she wasted no time in getting back to her exercise regime and returned to Pilates classes weeks later.

Pregnant actress/singer Hilary Duff is planning to head back into the studio to record her first album of new music since 2007.

The Cheaper By The Dozen star is due to give birth to her first child, a boy, with her ice hockey player husband Mike Comrie early next year, but she's refusing to let pregnancy derail her plans to return to the pop charts.

Duff tells Eonline.com, "I want to get into the studio. I want to start recording. Even if I just mess around and kind of get myself in the swing of it. Before I got pregnant I was thinking about making a record, so I still want to do that."...

Tom Cruise is to star in a detective comedy with Ben Stiller, it has been claimed. The action hero will allegedly star alongside Stiller in an updated version of the classic comedy novels The Hardy Boys, called The Hardy Men. The movie sees the eternal teenagers finally grown up, but still up to their old tricks.

Production for the film, directed by Shawn Levy, is due to begin in October. Levy also directed Stiller's latest box office hit Night At The Museum as well as The Pink Panther and Cheaper By The Dozen.
