Marvel's New Captain America Is Black, Thor Is A Woman And There's A 'Superior Iron Man' On The Way

Marvel's New Captain America Is Black, Thor Is A Woman And There
Marvel comics has been rolling out some major new changes lately by announcing on Wednesday that in a new Thor series the titular character will now be a woman (not She-Thor, mind you, just 'Thor'). With the previous Thor no longer worthy of carrying his hammer Mjolnir, a mysterious new character will now take the mantle of the mightiest Avenger.

With the new Thor news comes a big change to another Avenger -- Captain America.

Marvel also announced on Wednesday that there will be a new Captain, this time sidekick Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, will carry the red, white and blue shield after S...

Box Office Predictions: Will 'Neighbors' Top 'Spider-Man 2'

Box Office Predictions: Will 'Neighbors' Top 'Spider-Man 2'
1) The Amazing Spider-Man 2- 40M Weekend, 155M Total

Spidey should drop a little over 50% this weekend. Neighbors is solid competition, but not major competition. Spidey will remain the top draw this weekend.

2) Neighbors- 35M Weekend, 35M Total

Keeping in mind this is an R rated comedy, with Seth Rogen and Zac Efron, 35M is a really solid opening. This isn’t the Hangover, this is Neighbors. Even with strong reviews, and solid previews, I’m betting this film tops out around 35M. Rogen had This Is The End last year which only managed 20M, so this would be a huge improvement upon that.

Warner Bros. Won't Change Release Date of 'Batman Vs. Superman' For 'Captain America 3'

April 9th, 2014 5:33pm EDT
Captain America
Comic book fans may have to make a difficult decision in 2016, as DC and Marvel have placed two big movies on the same release date.

Both "Captain America 3" and Batman vs. Superman have a release date of May 6, 2016. Marvel technically had the date first with a “TBA” title, which became Captain America 3 after Warner Bros. pushed back Batman vs. Superman to the same day.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said back in March following DC's delay, “We’re certainly keeping the date there and we’ll announce what that movie is, I assume, in the next few months.”

‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Sets April Record With $96 Million Weekend

Captain America
2014 has its first hit at the movies – Captain America: Winter Soldier has set a new record with a $96 million weekend opening, beating the previous record holder by $10 million.

Fast Five had set the record back in 2011 with a $86.2 million take, but it had no chance against a movie audience hungry for the first of many super hero films this year.

The strong American showing gives the film a $300 million worldwide total, topping the reported $170 million production price.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Next to 'The Avengers,' this is my favorite super-hero movie. I absolutely loved every second of 'Captain American:The Winter Soldier.' Without wanting to give away too much of the plot, here are some of the broad strokes.

The film, brilliantly directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo (Emmy-winning directors for 'Arrested Development'), opens with Steve Rogers, aka, Captain America (Chris Evans) living in Washington D.C. two years after being defrosted.

He is still working for S.H.I.E.L.D. and is struggling to fit into the modern world. In a really funny scene, we see Rogers jogging, sp...

Marvel's 'Captain America: Winter Soldier' Hits The Sweet Spot
After the hideous 'Punisher', 'Ghost Rider', and 'Fantastic Four' movies, Marvel Studios clearly realized that releasing comic films wasn't sufficient to attract and maintain fans. The stories needed strong actors and excellent writing. 'Captain America: Winter Soldier' continues the recent tradition of well-crafted Marvel films. Like its 2011 predecessor, 'Winter Soldier' hits the same sweet spots concerning character, nostalgia, writing, fight choreography, and casting. How much did I love it? Like candy, I want to watch it again and again and again and again. 'Captain America: Winter Sol...

2014 Super Bowl Commercials & Movie Trailers: Watch Them All Here!

February 3rd, 2014 12:28am EST
CELEBNAME
Like most of America, we thought that this year's Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos would have been a much closer game.

Seattle's dominance on both sides of the ball led to a very one-sided 43-8 victory, and unless you're a member of the Seahawks' "12th Man," the game itself was a bit boring at times.

Naturally, we expected some pick-me-ups during this year's commercials, but while Bruno Mars, whose halftime show with the Red Hot Chili Peppers was on par with the the dominance of Seattle (chalk it up as one of the best), the commercials were as lame as the Broncos...
