A film featuring the dissection of hostility in kids is well overdue.  That’s why we’re checking out the new to Blu-ray doc "Bully" out Feb. 12 from Anchor Bay Entertainment and The Weinstein Company.  Cruelty in kid form gets reviewed below.

Director Lee Hirsch's critically-acclaimed documentary Bully is to be honored with the Stanley Kramer Award at the 2013 Producers Guild of America (PGA) prize giving.

The filmmaker and his producer pal Cynthia Lowen will accept the title, which was established in 2002 to honor "a motion picture, TV series, studio, network, producer, executive or other individual entity whose work illuminates provocative social issues in an accessible and elevating fashion."

Justin Bieber has given director Lee Hirsch's controversial new movie Bully a big box office boost by donating a new song for the film's trailer.

The singer was among the celebrities petitioning for officials at the Motion Picture Association of America to drop Bully's R rating so more teenagers could see the hard-hitting film.

Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein is standing up to censors at The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) by releasing his new movie "Bully" unrated.

MPAA bosses initially slapped the documentary with a restrictive R rating, which bans young children from seeing the film without an adult, despite Weinstein arguing that "Bully" was essential viewing for kids as it raised awareness and should be shown in schools.

More than 150,000 film fans have signed an online petition demanding a lower age rating for Harvey Weinstein's new movie Bully.

The movie mogul was outraged when censors at The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) slapped the documentary with a restrictive R rating, which bans young children from seeing it without their parents.

Stars including Lady Gaga and Johnny Depp have thrown their support behind movie mogul Harvey Weinstein's campaign to have his movie Bully awarded a lower age rating.

The Weinstein Company boss was left fuming this week after American censors gave the documentary film a restrictive R rating, meaning younger kids won't be able to see it without being accompanied by their parents.

Weinstein was so angry, he threatened to withdraw his company from the Motion Picture Association of America over the ruling, and he has now revealed why he feels so passionate about the project.
