Don’t laugh or call me a girl (HA) but, if you’re anything like me, you might enjoy watching movies with lots of dancing! While watching some of these dance movies such as Hitch or Step Up or any one of the Bring It On movies, you may have wondered who dancer number 1 was. That really cute dancer is Sarah Mitchell from Burlesque.

I was invited to attend the first annual Dance Track Magazine Artist Awards. I had never heard of such a thing or did I know anything about dancers or dancing for that matter, but I will explain that later. I have to admit that attending an event with all of these...

The CW To 'Bring It On' This Fall With 'Hellcats'

June 10th, 2010 10:41am EDT
Hellcats - The CW
Bring it On- the Show?

Actually the show premiering to the CW Network this fall is "Hellcats". The preview available online basically just shows a gymnasium full of cheerleaders grinding each other and a random male cheerleader in the middle. From out of the bleachers is a blonde, somewhat distressed, looking guy carrying two coffees. The music gets faster, the hips move more, the two girls in front battle each other with their dance moves and their eye contact.

The basis of "Hellcats" is supposed to be that Marti Perkins, played by Alyson Michalka, is new to the squad but deep down she i...

November 20th, 2009 11:00am EST
Anchorman
Now that it looks as if the interminable "Saw" franchise has run out of gas after its sixth chapter, we can turn our attention to sequels that we'd really like to see, and what the odds are of them actually being produced.

ANCHORMAN 2: This is the biggie that most comedy fans would love to see. Star Will Ferrell and director Adam McKay have danced around the sequel for years, tantalizing fans with potential story ideas, fake titles and other tidbits, but nothing seems to be concrete. Still, the phenomenal popularity of the first film would make it a slam dunk, box-office smash. And, as ...

Overrated & Underrated High School Movies

Bring It On
It's the end of September, and now there's no turning back. Summer is too distant a memory, Christmas Break is a speck on the horizon and the work is beginning to pile up. Yes, school is back in full swing and an escape from the dullness of its routine couldn't even be accomplished by the craftiest of magicians.

The only respite at this point is fantasy. Dreaming of a life outside of ours, one where school is but a minor inconvenience and can even serve as a method of deriving happiness.

Where does this place exist? The movies, of course. High school movies are enjoyed by stud...

Our Favorite High School Movies

September 18th, 2008 10:00am EDT
The Breakfast Club
Perhaps you've heard about "Assassination of a High School President," the Bruce Willis/Mischa Barton movie that darkly satirizes high school politics. While much of the high school set is eagerly anticipating the film's theatrical release in early 2009, early reviews from its January screening at Sundance have been mixed. MTV has praised it as a cross between "Rushmore" and "The Usual Suspects," while Variety labeled it an "uninventive," "muddled parody." Only time will tell if the movie becomes an instant classic or ends up in the bargain DVD bin next to "Encino Man."

So while some people are planting flowers or taking walks around their neighborhoods, I'm focusing on one thing, sex. Well maybe not strictly sex, but come on, it has been a long winter. So if I were to have a spring fling of sorts, it would obviously have to be with a celebrity. Hmm, but who would I choose?
