The third installment of the Spider-Man franchise took $11.2 million over the weekend, adding to the $23.6 million it took on its first weekend. 28 Weeks Later, the sequel to zombie thriller 28 Days Later, made its debut at number two - followed by Bridge To Terabithia in third place.

Biker comedy Wild Hogs scored the top spot at the U.S. box office taking in $38 million in its opening weekend. Serial killer saga Zodiac debuted in the number two spot taking in $13.1 million. After two weeks at the top spot, comic book adaptation Ghost Rider dropped to the third spot with $11.5 million.
