Bridesmaids star Chris O'dowd's TV presenter wife Dawn O' Porter and British actress Emerald Fennell have been shortlisted for the U.K.'s coveted Children's Book Prize.

O' Porter's first novel for youths, Paper Aeroplanes, which was inspired by her own upbringing on the British island of Guernsey, is up for Best Book for Teens, while Anna Karenina star Fennell is in the running in the Best Fiction for 5-12s section for her release Shiverton Hall, about the strange goings-on in a haunted school.

Ellen DeGeneres is angling for a role in "Bridesmaids 2," even though plans for a sequel have not been greenlit.

The actress and daytime talk show star is hosting the upcoming Oscars and worked with director Paul Feig to promote the awards show. She’s hoping their collaboration will lead to a part in a sequel to the comedy.

Irish actor Chris O'dowd has landed a deal to turn his popular TV show Moone Boy into a series of children's books.

The Bridesmaids star and the show's co-creator Nick Vincent Murphy have signed a six-figure deal with publisher Macmillan to write the tomes, with the first one due out next autumn (14).

Loosely-based on O'Dowd's childhood, the show features a young boy in rural Ireland and his relationships with his dysfunctional family and an imaginary friend.
