June 7th, 2012 10:58am EDT
Liam Hemsworth
We're not sure who originally coined the phrase "You can't put a price on love" but we can assure you Liam Hemsworth wasn't out bargain shopping for an engagement ring. It might also be safe to say the couple never saw the 2006 movie Blood Diamond. According to reports Miley Cyrus' engagement ring cost an estimated $250,000!

Cyrus announced on Wednesday her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth had proposed on May 31 after a three-year romance.

She was later photographed out and about in Beverly Hills, California sporting a diamond-and-gold ring on the third finger of her left hand, and an expert valu...

J. Edgar
Director Clint Eastwood delves into the personal life of J. Edgar Hoover with the biopic "J. Edgar," starring Leonardo DiCaprio as the controversial FBI director.

It's a common occurrence for actors to receive Academy Award nominations for their on-screen transformations. Nicole Kidman changed her nose and won Best Actress for "The Hours" in 2000, and Charlize Theron also altered her appearance for "Monster" and won in 2003. Will Leo be next?

Leo has been nominated for three Oscars for his roles in "Blood Diamond" (2007), "The Aviator" (2005) and "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" (1994).

The Best & Worst Films Of Leonardo DiCaprio

October 13th, 2008 10:05am EDT
Leonardo DiCaprio
With such a talented actor like Leonardo DiCaprio, it's hard to find a dubbed "worst film" in his career. Yet, among all of Leo's great roles, there were a few that don't live up to par.

THE WORST

The Man in the Iron Mask

This was Leonardo’s first movie after his groundbreaking role in Titanic so most people expected a lot out of him. And although the movie made a profit, his performance wasn’t exactly riveting.

The Beach

Leonardo’s second movie after "Titanic" wasn’t well received either. Even the steamy sex scene didn’t push this movie into the best catego...

There's nothing better - or more intimidating - than someone with a combination of good looks, lots of money, unbridled talent and intelligence. But some celebs have it all. Beauty, money, power and an impressive academic pedigree. So here is Starpulse's list of the most erudite celebrities, and some might come as quite a surprise. (Conan O'Brien went to Harvard?)

Ashley Judd may have found critical acclaim for ...

Starpulse Holiday Movie Preview, Part 3

November 21st, 2007 2:39pm EST
Hitman
With every surplus of holiday cheer comes a few Scrooges. Some can't stand all the mushiness, or perhaps they just want to have something blow up to go along with their eggnog. Maybe they just like to sit on the edge of their seats instead of on Santa's lap. Fair enough.

For those people, there have been a few real holiday film gems over the years. Some are disturbing, such as Santa going on a killing spree. Others are entertaining, like Die Hard's Christmas party gone awry.

Part Three - Bah Humbug- Action/Drama/Adventure

But many don't have any holiday thematic link at all,...

Borat
With all the excitement surrounding the upcoming Oscar awards, it is easy to overlook the animals that play such an important role in movies. Although animals are an integral part of some of the most acclaimed films, their well-being and safety are sometimes neglected.

American Humane, the authority behind the "No Animals Were Harmed" end credit disclaimer on film and TV productions, applauds those nominated movies that included animal-safety monitoring as part of their production process -- but calls attention to those that did not.
