There's the quintessential romantic comedy, and then there's the romdramedy. Similar to a dramedy (in which there is an equal balance of humor and serious content), a romdramedy combines comedy and drama with that mushy thing we call romance.

This is not a list of the best films over the past 20 years. Rather it is a list that gives preferences to those films that best combine all three elements - romance, comedy and drama.

Films like Magnolia and The Matrix were barred from competition, while films like Down with Love were considered (however, that one didn't make the cut)....

Jeff Bridges Wrote To Martin Scorsese To Plead For Role

Jeff Bridges was so desperate to land a part in controversial film The Last Temptation Of Christ he wrote a letter to director Martin Scorsese. The Big Lebowski star insists it was the only time he'd ever put pen to paper to request a film part.

He reveals, "It was one of my favourite books and I wanted to play Judas. I sent him a wonderful book too, called The Saviors Of God, which was the writer's (Nikos Kazantzakis) last book. I didn't get the part but I enjoyed the movie."

The part of Judas in the 1988 film went to Harvey Keitel.

Actress Tara Reid has signed on to host a prostitute-themed ball in Darwin, Australia on Sunday night. The Big Lebowski star will be the main attraction at the annual Hooker's Ball, according to the Sydney Daily Telegraph.

And the racy flyer advertizing the 21st annual event suggests revelers can expect "bondage beds, fantasy, latex, porn stars, erotic dancers..."

The Big Lebowski star Jeff Bridges has gone bald for a shocking new role in comic book adaptation Iron Man. The actor, who plays Obadiah Stane in the highly-anticipated new movie, admits he wasn't told to shave his head for the film, but felt his character would look great with no hair - and a long grey beard.

He says, "I didn't have to be bald but I kind of have always wanted to be bald. My wife likes it. And, as for the beard, I've been gradually getting used to having a grey beard. I had that moment when my eyes popped and I was like, 'Oh my God.' Now I don't care."

Hit TV show Weeds and movie Grandma's Boy were the big winners at the sixth annual High Times Stony Awards in New York on Tuesday. Both claimed three prizes at the event, held to honor the acts, icons and projects of marijuana culture.
