Actress Julianne Moore 'lurks' on her children's social media accounts to ensure they are protected from the dangers of the internet.

The Big Lebowski star and her film director husband Bart Freundlich keep close tabs on their 16-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter's online activities to ensure they don't fall prey to the darker side of the internet, and Moore doesn't worry about invading her children's privacy.

She tells Britain's Mail On Sunday, "It's a scary world out there. I'm all over it with my kids. My son has a Facebook page which he uses but he knows that his father and I... ...

Coen Brothers: No 'Big Lebowski' Sequel

May 20th, 2013 6:37pm EDT
The Big Lebowski
A lot of exciting news comes from the Cannes Film Festival, but the Coen Brothers were a bit of a downer when they said they don't have plans for a Big Lebowski sequel.

Brothers Joel and Ethan Coen were chatting about their new film Inside Llewyn Davis when the popular question about a sequel to the cult classic film came up.

"John Turturro, who wants it, talks to us incessantly about doing a sequel about his (bowler) character Jesus," Ethan said, according to The Star.

He continues, "He even has the story worked out, which he’s pitched to us a few times, but I can’t really remember it ....

'The Dictator' And 15 Other Beards That Steal Movies

May 16th, 2012 1:07pm EDT
dictator_beard-300x220
Sacha Baron Cohen brings his trademark ridicu-shock humor to his new film "The Dictator," but it may be his beard that steals the show.

He plays Admiral General Aladeen, deposed dictator of the (fictional) Republic of Wadiya, who flees to the U.S. when his country converts to democracy. As a dictator, he's used to ruling with an iron fist, an incorrigible sense of righteous cruelty, and a thick, bushy beard that could house several terrified baby sparrows.

Aladeen may feel like a fish out of water in New York City, but he'd feel right at home among Hollywood's most magnificent beards of a...

Fashion Fails: Julianne Moore, Zooey Deschanel, Olivia Munn

Julianne Moore
No one said simple would be easy, and the ladies in this week's fashion fails are proving it by falling flat on the red carpet - while wearing just black and white outfits.

Seems like a few people are trying to big back huge bows on dresses, something that hasn't been in style since the early 90s. Julianne Moore wore the above dress to the reunion of 90s movie Big Lebowski, but she still looked out of place!

Zooey Deschanel can't decide if she wants to be prim and proper (the dress) or laid back and natural (the hair) while at the premiere of Our Idiot Brother. Either way, those shoulde...

Tara Reid, how we've missed you. The - ahem - troubled former starlet made waves recently by saying something about a sequel to "The Big Lebowski," starting a brief, but ferocious, Internet rumor-fest that the Coen brothers laughingly squashed.

But now, it appears Ms. Reid is the one who is the one laughing now, as she has teamed up with Funny or Die to produce a trailer for the supposed second film ("The Bigger Lebowski?") - a trailer in which she plays every role.

There is a certain thrill, we'll admit, in hearing the dulcet tones of Sam Elliott's voice (or a reasonable facsimile there...

Celebrities Who Get Naked On Screen: A Thin Line Between Classy & Trashy

Hollywood royalty used to use body doubles for filming sex scenes in their films; the thought of them baring it all was almost a joke. But as sex and nudity have taken a more artsy approach on screen, celebrities are jumping at the chance to take their careers to a more risqué level...

Yet, baring it all in films is a very touchy subject with actors. This is a topic young Hollywood and wannabe actors can't seem to grasp. If you are an established actor and nudity is done in good taste, it's viewed by most people as classy. But if you're just starting out, you don't want to be known as ...

Spotlight On The Coen Brothers' Remake Of John Wayne Classic 'True Grit'

April 7th, 2009 11:52am EDT

It's difficult to conceive the Coen Brothers' next big venture, a remake of the classic John Wayne western True Grit, as either a traditional western or a traditional remake. Our blogger friends are reluctant to speculate. They call it a case of the "remake bug" or "disappointing" (the spurs of the Duke can never be filled, right?), and the most common thread is that this isn't actually a remake since the Coens plan on staying true to Charles Portis' original novel.

Don't be fooled by the naysayers. This is absolutely a remake, somebody will play John Wayne, or rather Rooster Cogburn, ...

The story is of a former CIA agent's (John Malkovich) "top secret files" that fall in...
