'Supernatural' Recap: There's A Devil On Sam's Shoulder

October 1st, 2011 11:30am EDT
padalecki and ackles

The Ten Greatest Movies Of The Decade

December 17th, 2009 9:30am EST
The Ten Greatest Movies Of The Decade
So far, we've given you lists of the Ten Greatest TV Shows, Songs, and Albums of the decade. Now it's time to turn our focus to the Silver Screen.

This decade, moviemaking became incredibly fractured. After the Indie Boom of the nineties there suddenly wasn't much of a difference between an independent/art film and the mainstream movies from blockbuster studios. Many of these studios were now attempting to make their own indies, blurring the lines and resulting in more failures than successes.

Of course, there were still plenty of good movies to go around. The following is a list ...

'Dexter Recap': 'Easy as Pie'

November 10th, 2008 1:37pm EST
Dexter
In a sort of cathartic episode for its main character, last night's installment of "Dexter" saw the titular serial killer let go of a bit of the past while reaffirming his twisted take on morality.

The past he let go of was personified in the death of Camilla, the lady from the police records office who knew more about Dexter's past than anybody, including his sister or fiancé. She'd been at end of the line, dying of cancer over the last episode, until she got the bad news that her condition had slowed to the point that she'd be forced to suffer for another month.

While Camilla d...

There's nothing better - or more intimidating - than someone with a combination of good looks, lots of money, unbridled talent and intelligence. It's easier to make fun of people like Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, who might possess a few of the aforementioned assets but who are one short of a perfect combination.

But some celebs have it all. Beauty, money, power and an impressive academic pedigree. So here is Starpulse's list of the most erudite celebrities, and some might come as quite a surprise. (Conan O'Brien went to Harvard?)

Ashley Judd may have found critical acclaim for ...

Violence Propels Filmmakers, Moviegoers & The Academy Awards

January 11th, 2008 12:07pm EST
No Country For Old Men
The lights go down. A low, rumbling bass slightly shakes the seats as the occupants draw in a tight, anticipatory breath. The first thing to break the tension is a thin beam of light across the center of the screen. It is accompanied by a low, rat-at-tat rhythm that could be rain on a tin roof- if it weren't for the high-pitched shriek in the background.

Is that yelling? Shouting? The shriek morphs into a scream of mechanical menace. It's a bomb, and it's followed by an explosion linked to the picture exploding into life. The audience sees all-out war. Guts are flying, blood is strea...
