John Travolta believes Anna Nicole Smith could have escaped her untimely death with the help of Scientology. The star, who acted with Smith in 2005 movie Be Cool, insists Narconon, a controversial drug and detox treatment inspired by the writings of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, would have helped her cope with her problems.

War of the Worlds star Tom Cruise has been voted the Top Money-Making Star of 2005 in Quigley Publishing Company’s 74th Annual Top Ten Money-Making Stars Poll. Cruise has won the poll seven times, the most of any actor since 1932, and has placed in the Top Ten 18 times. This was his first top finish since 2001 when he starred with Penelope Cruz in Vanilla Sky.
