'Battle: Los Angeles' Boot Camp Was Tough For Ne-Yo
Ne-Yo is still smarting from the mandatory military boot camp he experienced for new alien war movie "Battle: Los Angeles" because real soldiers were a little too tough on him.
The singer admits he expected the military training to be more instructional than physical and he was not prepared.
He tells WENN, "We did about three weeks of boot camp for this film and difficulty is an understatement. I don't think they told the drill sergeants that we were actors because he went at us like we were really recruits, trying to get into the Marines.

Battle: Los Angeles movie review
On screen, the planet has been invaded by aliens countless times. In Battle: Los Angeles, director Jonathan Liebesman has created a war of the worlds that stands up to the best in the sub-genre with a killer cast including Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez.
Where Battle: Los Angeles works so well is in its spirit -- it is less a science fiction film and more of a classic war movie. Aaron Eckhart stars as a staff sergeant charged with taking a group of Marines into the alien attack battle zone of Los Angeles that is established early on as Earth’s last great hope for victory.
