Ed Westwick
"Gossip Girl" star Ed Westwick would love to emulate the career of fellow British actor Christian Bale.

He explained, "I would kill to be Batman, simple as that. I could play the new version of 'American Psycho.' I love that movie and I know every line from that movie."

Ed has reportedly found himself another TV beauty following his split from co-star Jessica Szohr - he has been linked to "90210's" Annalynne McCord.

The Knocked Up actor has topped a new poll by Forbes to find the stars making the most films and the most money for studios since 2005. He beat out competition from veteran actor Morgan Freeman, who came second in the list, shooting nine movies which garnered more than $20 million in revenue.

Greatest Entertainers of the Decade
This week, we've brought you the Ten Greatest TV Shows, Songs, Albums and Movies of the Decade. Now it's time to roll it all into one with the Ten Greatest Entertainers of the Decade.

This was a decade where entertainment became increasingly fractured. With 500 channels 500 bazillion websites and every medium on-demand, bringing together any significant chunk of people to one thing was a true sign of greatness. In an era when nobody had to agree - making them agree took something beyond the level of entertainer we saw in the past.

With that in mind, here are the Ten Greatest Entert...

Actors Who Have Transitioned From TV To Film

August 25th, 2009 10:00am EDT
Jennifer Garner
For some actors, it is hard to make the crucial transition into film as a television star. Especially if you are typecast as a certain character and most people can't think of you as anyone else (for example, Matt LeBlanc as Joey on Friends). Television actors put their careers on the line when they leave their steady jobs to branch out into the film world, and they either make it or they don't. Here are the top television stars who managed to hold their own in the film world.

Will Smith- Before he was one of the top A-list movie stars, Will Smith was known as the Banks' troublemaking co...

Why is Katie Holmes Still Famous?

August 19th, 2009 11:51am EDT
Katie Holmes
Katie Holmes owes her career to "Dawson's Creek," cut her real acting teeth in "The Ice Storm," embarrassed herself in movies like "Disturbing Behavior," didn't embarrass herself in "Thank You for Smoking, and even tried her hand at Broadway. But she has yet to do anything that warrants the media's massive favoritism and fixation on her (other than being a very convenient excuse for Tom Cruise, ahem).

Is it her looks?

Some may argue that her looks have gotten her to where she is and kept her there. She did pursue modeling prior to her work as an actress. But take a look at Katie durin...

Christian Bale will slip back into his rubber Batsuit next year to begin shooting the sequel to The Dark Knight. The Hollywood actor has confirmed he will return as Bruce Wayne/Batman for the third time in director Christopher Nolan's forthcoming film, but a production schedule had yet to be released.

However, Bale's "Dark Knight" co-star Gary Oldman, who portrays Commissioner Gordon in the movie adaptations, broke the news of the return of the Caped Crusader to fans at the annual Comic-Con in San Diego, California on Friday.

He told fans, "The next Batman is shooting next year. It's ...

The Hollywood actress, who is set to appear on Lythgoe's show So You Think You Can Dance later this month, has joined forces with the pair and Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba to set up the Dizzy Feet Foundation.

The scholarship organization gives underprivileged youngsters the opportunity to take part in dance programs and win grants to enroll in accredited dance studios, reports Daily Variety.

Christian Bale Hoping That Christopher Nolan Signs Up For Third 'Batman' Film

April 30th, 2009 2:40pm EDT
Christian Bale
Christian Bale is praying The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan signs up for a third Batman film - because nobody will be able to better the moviemaker's previous efforts.

Bale was directed by Nolan in 2005's Batman Begins and reprise his role as the caped crusader for last year's box office smash, which grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.

The actor is contractually obliged to star in a third film - but he's worried about the future of the franchise if Nolan refuses to take charge.

He tells Total Film magazine, "It's got to be the right story. You can't make somethin...

Best & Worst Superhero Costumes

April 30th, 2009 10:11am EDT
'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' opens this Friday, and could possibly overturn the all three of the other X-Men movies as the best one yet. Not because the other films forgot that Wolverine was really the star anyway, or because there's only so much CGI that a movie can handle before even the performances seem to look animated, but because this will be the first X-Men film to ditch those dorky black latex costumes that made Professor's Xavier's school look like a front for an underground S&M club. In celebration, StarPulse is taking a moment to remember the superhero fads of yesteryear. The ones...

Iron Man
Let's face it: the movies aren't the only places that make sure their main characters are young, thin, and attractive. So put together the badass nature of comic book heroes with the sexiest actors of today, and what do you have? The sexiest super heroes in film! Who do you think should make the list?

Katie Holmes: 'Enough Is Enough With The Suri Rumors'

March 2nd, 2009 2:38pm EST
Katie Holmes
Actress Katie Holmes has lashed out at the media for spreading hurtful rumors about her family with Tom Cruise, insisting "enough is enough."

The couple welcomed daughter Suri in April 2006 but the tot was not unveiled to the public until months later, prompting the media and internet gossips to speculate about the existence of the baby. Little Suri made her public debut in a family photo spread in the October 2006 issue of Vanity Fair, in which Holmes defended their actions, saying: "We weren't trying to hide anything... I do know what is being said in the press. This is my future. ...

Brandon Routh Finds A New Superhero

February 23rd, 2009 1:08pm EST
Brandon Routh
Brandon Routh probably won't get to play Superman again given that the studio plans to totally reboot the franchise, a la Batman Begins/The Dark Knight. It seems he's found another comic book character though in Dylan Dog. He is set to star in the film version of Tiziano Sclavi's Italian comic book series in a film from producers Ahstok Amritraj and Patrick Aiello.

"We have a movie called Dead of Night which starts shooting in April with Brandon Routh," Amritraj said. "Kevin Munroe who did Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [TMNT] is directing it. That shoots in New Orleans."

Attack Of The Comic Book Movies

February 12th, 2009 12:02pm EST
Bringing comic book heroes (and villains) to the big screen has meant big bucks for movie studios in recent years. With huge budgets and state of the art special effects, it's easier than ever for filmmakers to convincingly create the fantasy worlds that classic comic characters inhabit, both delighting die-hard "geeks," and captivating folks who've never picked up a comic book in their lives.

Comic book films have always been popular, dating back to the movie serials of the 1940s featuring Superman, Batman, and Flash Gordon, just to name a few. Christopher Reeve's "Superman" in 1978...

Gretchen Mol Amazed By Katie And Suri's Style

February 11th, 2009 5:00pm EST
Gretchen Mol
Actress Gretchen Mol is forever in awe of Katie Holmes - because the Batman Begins star and her daughter Suri always look stylish when they're caught on camera. The Hollywood mom admits she struggles to even think about style choices - and her one-year-old son Ptolemy often looks a mess.

The Life On Mars star tells Cookie magazine, "How can Katie Holmes find time to be conscious of her style? How does Suri always look so good? My kid goes through three T-shirts in a day, and that's if I bother to change them. I'll never be the mother who makes parenting look effortless. But I wouldn't ...

Alexander tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "Sony asked me to come over and read the script for Spider-Man. It was going to be a really cool tentpole movie.

"But as soon as I said 'Spider-Man' Heath said, 'It's not for me. ...

Aaron Eckhart Wants Angelina Jolie To Play Catwoman

November 21st, 2008 6:00pm EST
Aaron Eckhart
Angelina Jolie has been nominated to play Catwoman in a future Batman movie, by The Dark Knight star Aaron Eckhart. Eckhart, who played Harvey Dent/Two Face in the last installment of the legendary superhero franchise, is rumored to return in the next Batman movie, and he would love to act alongside a Lycra-clad Jolie - if director Christopher Nolan chooses to introduce the feline baddie.

He says, "I thought that was a fantastic idea."

And he's convinced any Batman movie with Jolie involved, would eclipse those already made. Eckhart adds, "When I read that, I felt like all of our ...

Ten Years Later: Still Bitter About 'Seinfeld' Finale, Reunion Needed

September 18th, 2008 11:05am EDT
If a tree falls in the woods and 76.3 million people are there to watch it, will it make a noise? Yes! It will! It will make the most horrendous thud that can possibly be imagined. This is what happened in May of 1998-- yes, over ten years ago-- when the series finale of "Seinfeld" aired.

Jerry Seinfeld, over the years, has dropped coy hints that there is a possibility that the Seinfeld cast may reunite for a one off movie or reunion special. This needs to happen. The final episode of "Seinfeld"-- what many would agree is a landmark series in the history of television-- is, in a word,...

Despite The Dark Knight star Michael Caine's confirmation that the Capote star has already landed the role, Hoffman insists he's yet to be officially offered the part - but he can't wait for the phone call.

He tells, "I grew up a comic book fan, so I love that stuff. I love going to that stuff. I think what they're doing with that whole Batman story is really true to what that whole Batman thing has always ...

Johnny Depp is tipped to play Batman villain The Riddler in the next installment of the comic book movie series. After the huge success of The Dark Knight, which has taken $440 million at the worldwide box office, producers are confident they can convince Depp to take on Christian Bale's Batman on the big screen.

And, according to the National Enquirer, studio bosses also want Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman onboard to play another of the Caped Crusader's arch-foe, the Penguin.

The Riddler was played on the small screen in the 1960s by Frank Gorshin and in 1995's Batman Foreve...

Point/Counterpoint: Should They Make 'Jurassic Park IV?'

July 31st, 2008 9:24am EDT
Jurassic Park
"Jurassic Park IV" is currently "in production" with producers and writers working on the script. Many question whether a fourth film is necessary, particularly following what many call a disastrous third installment in the franchise. Two Starpulse writers have strong opinions on whether making a fourth film is really what the public needs or wants:

Anyone who is familiar with my opinions on sequels and my general distaste for the work of Steven Spielberg are going to be surprised to learn that I love Jurassic Park and both of its sequels. Now don't get me wrong, the act...

A Fan's Eye View: The 'Dark Knight' Is Probably The Best Comic Book Film Ever

July 21st, 2008 11:45am EDT
The Dark Knight
When I arrived at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, to the Lincoln Center IMAX, I was not quite certain what to expect. On the bus to New York City from Boston, plenty of texts were coming in from excited friends about how the lines were out the door and wrapped around the street for hours. What were they there for? The preview night of "The Dark Knight," Christopher Nolan's incredible follow-up to his hit "Batman Begins."

By now the reports have all come in that this film broke several box office records, but on Thursday that was just a whisper of a possibility. Then again, once I ste...
