Bad Boys Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have topped a new poll of the best movie cop double act.

More than 15,000 film fans took part in the week-long MovieTickets.com vote, held to mark the release of Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg's new movie The Other Guys - and Smith and Lawrence, who have played cocky cops Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett in two films, came out on top with 41 per cent.

Despite his legal woes and tarnished reputation, Mel Gibson was also a top pick - his Lethal Weapon films landed the Aussie actor and sidekick Danny Glover second place with 36 per cent.

Gabrielle Union has been dragged into a lawsuit filed by the estranged wife of her basketball star boyfriend Dwyane Wade, amid allegations the sports star has damaged their children by engaging in "sexual foreplay" with the actress in public.

Siohvaughn Wade has filed suit on behalf of the former couple's two sons, aged eight and two, claiming Wade has engaged in "extreme and outrageous conduct" with Union in front of the children.

Producer extraordinaire has mounted staggering productions, including the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. His biggest task might be mounting a third Bad Boys film. Not only did the first film make movie stars out of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, but now even the director is a star.
