Eddie Vedder, Sondre Lerche Lead 'Best Song' Shortlist

Rocker Eddie Vedder and singer/songwriter Sondre Lerche are among the front-runners in the race for Oscar gold after landing three inclusions apiece on the official Best Song shortlist.

A panel of experts and critics have selected 59 songs for consideration, including Vedder's tracks from Into The Wild and Lerche's Dan In Real Life tunes.

The news comes as Vedder celebrates his first Golden Globe nod for Guaranteed from pal Sean Penn's wilderness movie. The Pearl Jam frontman is also up for Best Original Score at the Globes on January 13.

'Enchanted' Still Making Magic

Disney fairytale movie Enchanted continues to conjure up magic at the box office, claiming a second week at number one.

The film, starring Amy Adams as an animated princess-to-be who comes to life in modern-day New York City made $17 million in its second weekend on release to hang on to the top spot. The studio estimates, released on Sunday, suggest the film has made over $70 million in just 10 days.

The only new entry in the box office top 10 is Jessica Alba and Hayden Christensen's thriller Awake, which debuted at number four with $6 million.

Irish actor Jonathan Rhys-Meyers has checked into rehab for alcohol abuse. The Mission: Impossible III hunk, 29, entered an unspecified facility in the U.S. earlier this week, his representative Meredith O'Sullivan has confirmed to America's People magazine.

O'Sullivan says, "After a non-stop succession of filming Jonathan Rhys-Meyers has entered an alcohol-treatment program. He felt a break was needed to maintain his recovery.
