September 23rd, 2013 8:41pm EDT
Christian Bale
Actor Christian Bale auditioned to play Batman in Val Kilmer's batsuit.

The American Psycho star tried out for the Christopher Nolan franchise reboot in 2005 in the same suit Kilmer wore in 1995's Batman Forever, but it was his voice, not how he acted in the costume, that landed him the role.

In a new documentary to be released with The Dark Knight Trilogy: The Ultimate Collector's Edition on Tuesday (24Sep13), Nolan says, "I think Christian's voice was a big part of the impression he made in the test. May 1st, 2009 10:06am EDT
Star Trek
Since the dawn of the American cinematic blockbuster in the late 1970s and early 1980s, moviegoers have eagerly waited for May - the unofficial beginning of summertime. This summer is no different. Joe: Rise of Cobra, Inglourious Basterds, et...

The Informers
In such works as Less Than Zero and American Psycho Brett Easton Ellis brilliantly dissects contemporary American society, a culture in which too much is never enough. Now, adapting his own acclaimed novel for the screen, he returns to the Los Angeles of the early 1980's with a multi-strand narrative that deftly balances a vast array of characters who represent both the top of the heap (a Hollywood dream merchant, a dissolute rock star, an aging newscaster) and the bottom (a voyeuristic doorman, an amoral ex-con).

Connecting all his intertwining strands are the quintessential Ellis pr...
