'G.I. Joe' - The Latest In A Long Line Of Mediocre, Nostalgia Mining Blockbusters

August 5th, 2009 9:55am EDT
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra
It's been over a month since Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen raked in $62 million on its opening day. Michael Bay's second installment to the Transformers series went on to make much more than that, currently cashing in over $796 million worldwide. Despite a phenomenal performance in the box office, Revenge of the Fallen was ripped apart by fans and critics alike. Critics balked at the movie’s obtuse premise that stretched for over two hours, while fans cringed at incomprehensible fight scenes, sloppy storytelling and dull characters. Even though Revenge of the Fallen suffered near unan...

Where have the Bluths been since we last laughed a...

January 10th, 2008 12:34pm EST
Patton Oswalt
Stand-up comedians Patton Oswalt and David Cross are feuding over Cross' decision to take on a part Oswalt rejected in Alvin And The Chipmunks.

King Of Queens star Oswalt was stunned when the Arrested Development actor accepted the role of Ian in the part-animated film - and accused him of selling out on an online blog.

But Cross responded, "I read Patton's snide comment... about how he... chucked the script in disgust only to have it hungrily intercepted from its intended trajectory into the incinerator by me... a sell-out."

Oswalt then replied, writing, "Let's go get dinne...

The Biggest Movie Mistakes of 2007

December 30th, 2007 12:00pm EST
Jessica Simpson
2007 had some good, some bad, and some just downright ugly and unfortunate events in the entertainment business. Here's my rant on the ugly: The Biggest Movie Mistakes of 2007.

"Grindhouse" is split in two for its DVD release

I just didn't understand why movie goers were not lined up around the block. As soon as I saw the trailer and saw that it had something to do with a chick with a gun for a leg, Kurt Russell, and that Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez were behind it, I was there. What more could you possibly ask for? In this case, it wasn't just a movie, it was an experie...

"You have to be thin all the time to make it as an actress. But my rock weight is 20 or 30 pounds more than my film weight." Rocker/actress Courtney Love makes more of an effort to stay trim when auditioning in front of Hollywood producers.
